Align your credentials to energy systems manufacturing
TAS Energy builds modular power and cooling systems, so employers reviewing your resume want to see experience with mechanical, electrical, or thermal engineering in a manufacturing context. Tailor your application to show hands-on technical work, not just theoretical coursework.
Target roles tied to active project pipelines
Energy companies in manufacturing typically hire ahead of project deployments. Research TAS Energy's recent contracts and product lines before applying. Framing your experience around relevant deliverables, like modular HVAC or power generation systems, signals direct fit to hiring managers.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open Energy positions
TAS Energy posts Energy roles across multiple channels, and tracking visa-friendly openings manually is time-consuming. Use Migrate Mate to filter for TAS Energy jobs that align with your visa type, so you're applying to positions where sponsorship is genuinely on the table.
Prepare OPT or CPT documentation before your offer
If you're on F-1 status, your Designated School Official must authorize OPT or CPT before you can start. Get your I-20 updated and USCIS EAD application filed well ahead of your target start date to avoid gaps that could delay onboarding with a manufacturing employer.
Understand where H-1B fits the hiring timeline
H-1B cap filings open in March for an October 1 start date. If you're interviewing at TAS Energy in the first quarter of the year, ask HR directly whether they plan to file in that cycle. Cap-gap provisions protect F-1 OPT holders already employed while a petition is pending.
Request clarity on LCA wage levels during negotiations
Your employer files a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before submitting your H-1B petition. The LCA sets the prevailing wage floor for your role and location. Confirm early that the offered salary meets the applicable wage level so there are no compliance issues before filing.

Find Energy at TAS Energy JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does TAS Energy sponsor H-1B visas for Energys?
Yes, TAS Energy has sponsored H-1B visas for Energy roles. If you're a current F-1 OPT holder already working in the field, the most practical path is to secure a role before the March H-1B registration window so TAS Energy can file on your behalf for an October 1 start.
How do I apply for Energy jobs at TAS Energy?
Applications go through TAS Energy's careers page, where you can filter by department and location. You can also use Migrate Mate to browse open Energy positions at TAS Energy filtered by visa type. When applying, tailor your materials to their modular energy systems and manufacturing environment to improve your chances of moving past initial screening.
Which visa types are commonly used for Energy roles at TAS Energy?
TAS Energy has worked with H-1B, F-1 OPT, and F-1 CPT visa holders for Energy roles. F-1 CPT is most relevant for students completing internships, while OPT covers post-graduation employment. H-1B is the primary long-term work authorization pathway for professionals already in the field who need employer-sponsored status beyond OPT.
What qualifications does TAS Energy expect for Energy roles?
Energy roles at TAS Energy typically require a bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical, electrical, or a related engineering discipline, along with demonstrated experience in energy systems, thermal management, or manufacturing operations. Roles that qualify for H-1B sponsorship must meet the USCIS specialty occupation standard, meaning a specific degree in a relevant technical field is generally required.
How do I plan my timeline if I need visa sponsorship at TAS Energy?
If you're on F-1 OPT, you have up to 12 months of work authorization after graduation, with a 24-month STEM extension available for qualifying degrees. Use that window to secure a full-time role at TAS Energy. H-1B cap filings happen once a year, so if your OPT is expiring before October 1, confirm with HR whether cap-gap protection applies to your situation.
