At Terawatt, we execute humbly and with urgency to provide tailored solutions for fleets that delight our clients and support the transition of transportation.
Role Description
Terawatt Infrastructure is building the sites that will power the rapid expansion of the electric vehicle market. In this role, you will lead the execution of design and construction activities for priority EV charging sites, helping deliver the infrastructure needed to support the transition to electrified transportation.
You will manage projects from early development through construction and commissioning, ultimately handing off completed sites to the Terawatt Operations team. This includes coordinating design, managing contractors and vendors, tracking schedules and budgets, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within scope.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical understanding of construction and site development, along with excellent organizational and communication skills. You are comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously and collaborating with internal teams and external partners to move projects forward efficiently.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end management of construction for large-scale EV charging infrastructure projects, including both light- and heavy-duty fleet sites.
- Oversee projects involving greenfield and brownfield development, building demolition or renovation, and on-site energy assets such as battery energy storage, solar photovoltaic systems, and low-emission generators.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, contracts, and change management processes throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate with engineering firms, contractors, vendors, and internal subject matter experts to support project development and execution.
- Monitor project progress and communicate updates to leadership and stakeholders through regular reporting and project management meetings.
- Identify and resolve risks or issues that could impact project timelines, cost, or quality.
- Develop and maintain detailed construction budget forecasts and project schedules.
- Evaluate project requirements to identify opportunities for value engineering and schedule acceleration.
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams including Business Development, Energy & Utilities, Product, Real Estate, Development, Technology, Site Operations, and Finance.
- Support permitting, utility interconnection coordination, and contractor engagement activities. Champion the electrification of transportation and TeraWatt’s role in building critical charging infrastructure.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in construction or project management.
- Experience managing development or construction of new infrastructure projects.
- Strong proficiency with project management tools and software such as Procore, Smartsheets, Confluence, TestFit, and Google Workspace.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to develop creative, non-standard solutions when standard "off-the-shelf" construction methods or utility requirements that challenge a project’s viability.
- Proven ability to manage complex civil or electrical infrastructure projects in areas such as:
- Site development and civil construction
- Electrical infrastructure or power systems
- Renewable energy or clean energy development
- EV charging or vehicle electrification
- Commercial or industrial renovations
- Power grid or energy infrastructure
- Freight, fleet transport, or logistics facilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Travel as needed to job sites (anticipated up to 40%).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using strategic diplomacy to influence Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) in local utilities in markets such as San Antonio, Austin, Houston, Dallas, Chicago, and New Orleans to accelerate permitting for complex infrastructure projects.
- Experience developing accurate conceptual budgets from preliminary site plans, with the ability to identify key cost drivers prior to detailed engineering.
- Experience developing modular "kit-of-parts" product selections that enable rapid, repeatable site deployments across different geographic markets and utility jurisdictions.
- Experience identifying high-impact value engineering (VE) opportunities to reduce underground trenching and copper usage while maintaining long-term power scalability.
Compensation for this role is determined by several factors, including the cost of labor in specific geographic markets, and these ranges are intended to provide a helpful reference. The actual compensation offer will be based on the candidate’s location, skills, level of expertise and experience, and internal equity considerations. In addition to base salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package and, where applicable, performance-based incentives.

Job Roles at TeraWatt Infrastructure Companies
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in TeraWatt Infrastructure Visa Sponsorship USA
Target roles at the intersection of energy and technology
TeraWatt Infrastructure builds EV charging infrastructure, so engineering, grid integration, and software roles are most likely to attract visa sponsorship. Focus your application on positions where specialized technical skills are clearly required and hard to source domestically.
Emphasize infrastructure and clean energy experience in your application
TeraWatt operates in a highly specialized segment of the energy industry. Candidates who can demonstrate direct experience with EV charging systems, utility interconnection, or large-scale energy infrastructure projects will stand out against a competitive applicant pool.
Look for roles that require a specific degree field
H-1B specialty occupation requirements mean your degree must align with the role. For TeraWatt, electrical engineering, civil engineering, and computer science are the most defensible degree fields. Make sure your resume makes this connection obvious before the recruiter sees it.
Browse verified sponsorship listings before applying
Confirming a company's sponsorship history before you invest time in an application is essential. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, including companies like TeraWatt active in the clean energy space.
Prepare to discuss your immigration status early in the process
TeraWatt is a smaller infrastructure company, so recruiters may not navigate visa sponsorship conversations daily. Come prepared to explain your OPT timeline or H-1B cap eligibility clearly and concisely, reducing uncertainty makes sponsorship decisions easier for hiring teams.

Does TeraWatt Infrastructure sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, TeraWatt Infrastructure sponsors H-1B visas. The company operates in the clean energy and EV charging infrastructure space, where specialized technical roles often require degree-specific expertise that supports H-1B specialty occupation eligibility. If you're targeting TeraWatt, focus on engineering or technical positions where your degree field aligns directly with the job requirements.
What visa types does TeraWatt Infrastructure sponsor?
TeraWatt Infrastructure sponsors H-1B visas and supports candidates on F-1 OPT. This makes it a viable option for international students completing U.S. degrees in relevant fields, as well as professionals already working in the energy or infrastructure sector who need employer-sponsored H-1B status to continue working in the United States long term.
Which roles at TeraWatt Infrastructure are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Given TeraWatt's focus on building large-scale EV charging infrastructure, roles in electrical engineering, civil engineering, grid interconnection, project development, and software engineering are most likely to qualify for H-1B sponsorship. These positions typically require specialized degrees and skills that meet the specialty occupation standard USCIS applies when reviewing H-1B petitions.
How do I find open visa-sponsored jobs at TeraWatt Infrastructure?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find and verify open positions at companies with confirmed visa sponsorship history, including TeraWatt Infrastructure. You can filter by company, visa type, and industry to identify roles where sponsorship is part of the hiring process, saving time compared to manually researching employer sponsorship records across scattered sources.
How do I approach the interview process at TeraWatt Infrastructure as a visa-sponsored candidate?
Be upfront about your visa status early in the recruiter screen, don't wait until an offer stage. For F-1 OPT candidates, clarify your remaining work authorization window and H-1B cap eligibility. For H-1B transfers, confirm your current status and start date flexibility. Smaller energy infrastructure companies benefit from candidates who reduce uncertainty around the sponsorship process.
