INTRODUCTION
Hudson Institute is seeking interns looking to gain insight into the inner workings of press relationships and public event operations. This intern will provide research and administrative support to the Public Affairs Department, who focus on maximizing Hudson Institute's presence in online, TV, and print media outlets by promoting Hudson experts and their work, putting on successful public events, and leveraging new media to amplify our impact in DC and across the globe. In addition to being exposed to critical issues in the aforementioned subject areas, interns will spend significant time discussing these issues with their expert(s). Those who work onsite will also have the opportunity to assist with, and attend, Hudson Institute public events, as well as intern-specific events featuring Hudson scholars and experts across Washington, DC.

REQUIREMENTS
- Assisting with the drafting of Hudson’s original newsletters and webpage content.
- Contributing to the maintenance of Hudson’s website, to include selecting editorial photos, proofreading copy from outside sources, and uploading content.
- Updating the public affairs team’s editorial calendar.
- Drafting statements, press releases, media advisories, and other communications materials.
- Greeting reporters and managing press check-in at Hudson events.
- Assisting with public event operations.
- Assisting with daily tasks of the Public Affairs team.
