Target roles that align with your visa type
Natera sponsors H-1B, TN, and Green Card pathways, but not every role qualifies for every visa. Focus your search on scientific, engineering, and clinical positions where specialty occupation requirements are easiest to demonstrate and sponsorship history is strongest.
Understand Natera's Green Card commitment
Natera has a strong track record of sponsoring permanent residency, not just nonimmigrant work visas. If long-term U.S. settlement is your goal, ask recruiters early about their EB-2 and EB-3 pathways and typical timelines for employees in your field.
Lead with your research or clinical credentials
Natera's core business is genomics and precision medicine. Applicants with backgrounds in molecular biology, bioinformatics, oncology, or genetic counseling are best positioned for sponsored roles where your degree field directly supports the specialty occupation argument.
Apply before H-1B cap season closes
If you need H-1B sponsorship, timing matters. Natera participates in cap-subject filings, so align your job search and offer negotiations to ensure your employer can submit your registration by the March lottery window. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and plan ahead.
Use OPT and CPT strategically if you're on F-1
Natera sponsors F-1 OPT and CPT, making it a viable landing spot for students entering the workforce. Use your OPT period to build your case internally before the H-1B lottery cycle, giving Natera time to assess your fit before committing to long-term sponsorship.
Ask specifically about TN eligibility if you're Canadian or Mexican
Natera sponsors TN visas, which offer a faster, cap-exempt path for qualifying Canadian and Mexican professionals in roles like scientists, engineers, and certain clinical positions. Confirm your job title maps to an eligible TN category before accepting an offer.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Natera sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Natera sponsors H-1B visas for qualified international candidates. The company participates in the annual H-1B cap lottery and has an active sponsorship track record across scientific, engineering, and clinical roles. If you're targeting Natera for H-1B sponsorship, align your application timeline with the March registration window to avoid missing the filing cycle.
Which visa types does Natera sponsor?
Natera sponsors H-1B, TN visa, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3. This range makes it a strong option for candidates at different stages of their U.S. immigration journey, from students completing STEM degrees to experienced professionals pursuing permanent residency in genomics and life sciences.
Which departments or roles at Natera are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Natera is concentrated in roles that meet specialty occupation standards, typically requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific technical field. Positions in bioinformatics, molecular biology, software engineering, clinical operations, and laboratory science are the most common fit. Roles in general administration or non-technical functions are less likely to qualify for H-1B sponsorship.
How do I find open visa-sponsored jobs at Natera?
Migrate Mate is the most efficient way to find Natera's visa-sponsored openings. The platform verifies sponsorship history so you're not guessing which employers are genuine sponsors. You can filter by visa type and company to surface roles at Natera that match your work authorization needs, saving time you'd otherwise spend screening job listings manually.
How do I approach the interview process at Natera as a visa-sponsored candidate?
Be upfront about your visa status early in the process. Natera has experience sponsoring international employees, so recruiters are familiar with the process. Come prepared to explain your current status, any OPT or grace period deadlines, and which visa pathway applies to you. If you're H-1B dependent on the lottery, discuss timing during the offer stage to avoid scheduling conflicts with the cap registration window.
