Job Roles at Magic Leap Companies
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Magic Leap Visa Sponsorship USA
Align your background with spatial computing
Magic Leap hires at the intersection of optics, hardware, and software. Candidates who clearly connect their technical background to mixed reality or perception research tend to stand out in sponsorship-eligible roles across science and engineering teams.
Target roles where Magic Leap sponsors Green Cards
Magic Leap has a strong track record of supporting permanent residency, not just temporary work visas. If long-term U.S. settlement matters to you, prioritize roles in research and engineering where Green Card sponsorship has historically been more common.
Use Migrate Mate to confirm sponsorship history before applying
Not every job posting discloses sponsorship eligibility upfront. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, saving time and avoiding applications to roles that won't support your visa situation.
Position yourself for research-heavy roles
Magic Leap's core work sits firmly in science and research. Candidates with advanced degrees or published work in relevant fields are well-positioned for roles where sponsorship is most active and where the company invests most heavily in international talent.
Apply early in hiring cycles to allow processing time
Visa sponsorship adds time to the hiring process, particularly for H-1B cap cases tied to October start dates. Engaging with Magic Leap's recruiting team well before fiscal year deadlines gives both sides enough runway to complete the process smoothly.

Does Magic Leap sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Magic Leap sponsors H-1B visas. The company has a consistent track record of supporting H-1B petitions, particularly for technical and research-focused roles in areas like software engineering, optics, and machine perception. If you're currently on H-1B status or need cap sponsorship, it's worth confirming with the recruiter early in the process whether the specific role qualifies.
Which visa types does Magic Leap sponsor?
Magic Leap sponsors H-1B and TN work visas, supports F-1 OPT and F-1 CPT for students and recent graduates, and also sponsors Green Cards through EB-2 and EB-3 pathways. This range makes it a viable option for international candidates at different stages of their immigration journey, from first U.S. job to permanent residency.
Which departments or roles at Magic Leap are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Magic Leap is most concentrated in technical and research disciplines. Roles in software engineering, computer vision, optical engineering, machine learning, and hardware development align most closely with the company's spatial computing mission and are where international hiring has been most active. Business and operations roles are less commonly sponsored.
How do I find open visa-sponsored jobs at Magic Leap?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to browse Magic Leap's sponsorship-eligible openings. Unlike generic job boards, Migrate Mate verifies sponsorship history so you can search with confidence that the roles listed are genuinely open to international candidates. Filter by company name and visa type to narrow results to your specific immigration situation.
How do I time my application to Magic Leap around visa deadlines?
Timing depends heavily on your visa status. If you need H-1B cap sponsorship, Magic Leap would need to file your petition in April for an October start, meaning you should be in conversations with recruiters by January or February at the latest. OPT and TN candidates have more flexibility, but disclosing your timeline early gives the company time to coordinate with immigration counsel.
