Tailor your portfolio to analytics consulting deliverables
Tiger Analytics hires Data Contributors who can show client-ready work, not just academic projects. Build a portfolio that demonstrates data pipeline builds, exploratory analysis, and business-facing reporting in tools like SQL, Python, or Tableau before you apply.
Confirm OPT eligibility before your first interview
Tiger Analytics sponsors F-1 OPT and CPT, so your STEM OPT extension timeline matters. Verify your OPT start date and the 90-day unemployment rule before you reach the offer stage to avoid gaps that complicate your authorization window.
Align your LCA job title to your actual day-to-day duties
For H-1B sponsorship, the DOL Labor Condition Application must reflect the specific duties of your Data Contributor role. Misaligned titles are a common source of USCIS scrutiny, so review the LCA job description with your employer before it's filed.
Surface your TN eligibility if you hold Canadian or Mexican citizenship
Tiger Analytics sponsors TN visas, which skip the H-1B lottery entirely. If you qualify under a TN-eligible occupation like Computer Systems Analyst, flag that in your application materials so the recruiting team routes you correctly from the start.
Target Tiger Analytics openings during Q4 and Q1 hiring cycles
Analytics consulting firms typically ramp hiring ahead of new client engagements in the first quarter. Applying in October through January positions you for H-1B cap-season filings and gives your employer enough lead time for USCIS premium processing if needed.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Data Contributor roles by visa type
Finding the right open role matters as much as knowing the sponsorship process. Migrate Mate lets you search Data Contributor positions at Tiger Analytics filtered by the visa types they sponsor, so you can apply to roles that match your current status.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Tiger Analytics sponsor H-1B visas for Data Contributors?
Yes, Tiger Analytics sponsors H-1B visas for Data Contributor roles. The process requires your employer to file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL and submit a petition to USCIS during the annual cap season, with an April 1 filing window for an October 1 start. If you're already on H-1B status with another employer, a transfer petition can begin immediately without waiting for cap season.
How do I apply for Data Contributor jobs at Tiger Analytics?
You can find open Data Contributor roles at Tiger Analytics through Migrate Mate, which filters positions by visa sponsorship type so you can identify roles that match your status before applying. When you apply, highlight relevant technical skills like SQL, Python, and data visualization, and be prepared to complete a technical screening early in the interview process, which is standard for analytics consulting firms.
Which visa types does Tiger Analytics commonly use for Data Contributor roles?
Tiger Analytics sponsors H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN visa, and Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for Data Contributor positions. F-1 candidates on STEM OPT get up to three years of work authorization, which gives the company time to initiate H-1B sponsorship. TN visa is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying occupations and bypasses the H-1B lottery entirely.
What qualifications does Tiger Analytics expect for Data Contributor roles?
Tiger Analytics typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's or master's degree in a quantitative field such as computer science, statistics, mathematics, or engineering. For H-1B purposes, the role must qualify as a specialty occupation, meaning your degree should directly relate to the work. Practical experience with data tools, client-facing communication, and an ability to translate data findings into business recommendations carries significant weight in the evaluation.
How do I time my application to account for the H-1B filing process at Tiger Analytics?
USCIS opens H-1B registration in March each year for an October 1 start date, so you need an offer in place well before that window. If you're on F-1 OPT, your employer should initiate the H-1B process while you still have valid work authorization. Premium processing is available and reduces USCIS adjudication to roughly 15 business days, which most employers use to manage onboarding timelines and reduce uncertainty.
