Match your degree to USMCA professions
TN eligibility depends on your specific degree field matching a USMCA-listed occupation, not just your job title. Cross-check your credential against the official USMCA professions list before applying to Form Energy roles in battery systems or materials engineering.
Target Form Energy's engineering teams directly
Form Energy's core hiring is in electrochemical engineering, mechanical engineering, and manufacturing process roles. Focusing your application on these technical teams puts you in the departments most likely to issue a TN-supporting offer letter without internal qualification delays.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified TN openings
Searching broadly wastes time on roles that don't support TN admission. Migrate Mate filters Form Energy job listings by visa type so you see only positions where TN is a confirmed sponsorship pathway, letting you apply with confidence before reaching the offer stage.
Prepare your credential documentation early
A Canadian border officer or Mexican consulate officer will verify your degree matches the offered role on the spot. Have your original transcripts, degree certificate, and any relevant professional licenses ready before Form Energy's offer letter is even drafted, not after.
Clarify the offer letter scope with HR
Form Energy's offer letter must state your job title, duties, and that the role qualifies under USMCA. Ask the recruiter explicitly to confirm the letter references the correct TN occupation category, since a mismatch at the port of entry can result in a same-day refusal.
Plan for a port-of-entry appointment if you're Canadian
Canadian nationals don't need a visa stamp; TN admission happens directly at a land border or pre-clearance site. Build at least one buffer day before your Form Energy start date to handle unexpected secondary inspection or documentation follow-up at the port of entry.
Form Energy TN Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Form Energy sponsor TN visas?
Yes, Form Energy supports TN admission for qualified Canadian and Mexican nationals by issuing offer letters that candidates present at the border or U.S. consulate. TN is not a petition-based process, so Form Energy doesn't file with USCIS, but its offer letter is the document that enables your TN admission in an eligible USMCA profession.
Which roles at Form Energy typically qualify for TN admission?
Form Energy's engineering, scientific, and technical positions are the most common TN pathways. Roles in electrochemical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, and materials science align well with USMCA-listed occupations. Positions outside those categories, such as operations or logistics, are less likely to meet the USMCA professions criteria required for TN eligibility.
How do I start the TN process after receiving a Form Energy offer?
Once Form Energy issues your offer letter, Canadian nationals present it directly at a port of entry or pre-clearance location for same-day admission. Mexican nationals schedule a visa appointment at a U.S. consulate. In both cases, you'll also bring your degree credentials and passport. No USCIS petition or waiting period is required before you can begin work.
How long does the TN process take for a Form Energy role?
For Canadians, TN admission at the border is typically processed the same day, so your timeline from offer to start date can be very short. Mexican nationals face consulate appointment wait times that vary by location and season. Build your start date around consulate availability in your region rather than assuming a fixed window.
How do I find open TN roles at Form Energy?
Migrate Mate surfaces Form Energy job listings filtered by TN visa eligibility, so you can identify positions where the company actively supports TN admission without manually reviewing each posting. Focusing your search on technical and engineering openings also increases the likelihood that the role maps to a qualifying USMCA occupation before you invest time in the application process.
How does TN visa admission work at Form Energy?
TN status is granted under the USMCA treaty — there is no USCIS petition or Labor Condition Application required. Canadian citizens can apply directly at a U.S. port of entry with an offer letter from Form Energy, while Mexican citizens must first obtain a TN visa at a U.S. consulate. The role must match one of the professions listed in USMCA Appendix 1603.D.1. Migrate Mate filters TN job listings to roles that fall within the eligible profession list.
