Align your degree to USMCA professions
TN eligibility at FujiFilm depends on your role matching a recognized USMCA profession tied directly to your degree field. Review O*NET occupation profiles for distribution and imaging technology roles to confirm your credentials satisfy the specific educational requirements before applying.
Target FujiFilm's distribution and engineering teams
FujiFilm's wholesale distribution and medical imaging divisions generate the strongest demand for TN-eligible professionals in engineering, computer science, and scientific fields. Focus your search on operations, technical support, and product management roles within those business units rather than general corporate functions.
Request a detailed offer letter early
FujiFilm's offer letter must describe your specific duties, confirm the USMCA profession category, and state your wage. Ask your recruiter explicitly for this during the offer stage, since border officers and consular officials scrutinize whether the letter ties your role to a qualifying profession.
Verify your prevailing wage position
Before negotiating salary, run the OFLC Wage Search for your job title and work location. FujiFilm operates across multiple U.S. distribution markets where wages differ, so confirming your offer meets or exceeds the prevailing wage for your specific region strengthens your TN admission case.
Use Migrate Mate to confirm TN-eligible openings
Not every FujiFilm posting will explicitly flag TN eligibility. Migrate Mate surfaces roles at companies with active USMCA hiring history, letting you filter for positions in distribution and imaging where TN professionals have successfully gained admission, saving you from pursuing roles that won't qualify.
Prepare for secondary inspection at the border
Canadian TN applicants presenting at a U.S. port of entry for FujiFilm roles in distribution should carry full employment documentation, including an org chart, degree transcripts, and the detailed offer letter. Secondary inspection is common for wholesale distribution roles where officer familiarity with the profession varies.
FujiFilm TN Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does FujiFilm sponsor TN visas?
FujiFilm supports TN admission for Canadian and Mexican professionals by issuing offer letters that document the role, duties, and qualifying USMCA profession category. There is no employer petition or USCIS filing involved. Eligible candidates present FujiFilm's offer letter directly at a U.S. port of entry or consulate to obtain TN status.
Which roles at FujiFilm typically qualify for TN admission?
FujiFilm's distribution, medical imaging, and technology divisions generate the most TN-eligible openings. Engineers, computer systems analysts, scientists, and certain management roles tied to specific USMCA profession categories are the most common fit. General administrative or sales roles outside the USMCA professions list do not qualify, regardless of FujiFilm's willingness to support the admission.
How do I start the TN process after receiving a FujiFilm offer?
Once FujiFilm issues your offer letter confirming your USMCA profession and duties, Canadian nationals proceed directly to a U.S. port of entry with that letter, degree credentials, and a valid passport. Mexican nationals apply at a U.S. consulate for a TN visa stamp first. USCIS is not involved in either process.
How long does TN admission for a FujiFilm role typically take?
Canadian nationals can receive TN admission the same day at most U.S. ports of entry, assuming documentation is complete and the officer approves the application. Mexican nationals face longer timelines tied to consular appointment availability. TN status is granted in up to three-year increments and can be renewed indefinitely while you remain employed at FujiFilm.
How do I find TN-eligible job openings at FujiFilm?
Many FujiFilm postings don't explicitly identify TN eligibility, which makes it harder to target the right roles. Migrate Mate filters employer listings by USMCA hiring history so you can identify FujiFilm positions in distribution and imaging technology where TN professionals have successfully obtained admission, helping you focus your applications on roles that actually qualify.
How does TN visa admission work at FujiFilm?
TN status is granted under the USMCA treaty — there is no USCIS petition or Labor Condition Application required. Canadian citizens can apply directly at a U.S. port of entry with an offer letter from FujiFilm, while Mexican citizens must first obtain a TN visa at a U.S. consulate. The role must match one of the professions listed in USMCA Appendix 1603.D.1. Migrate Mate filters TN job listings to roles that fall within the eligible profession list.
