Match your credentials to USMCA roles
TN admission requires your degree to align with a defined USMCA profession. At Henkel, chemistry, chemical engineering, and materials science degrees are the strongest credential matches. Cross-check your field against the USMCA TN professions list before applying to specific roles.
Target R&D and formulation teams directly
Henkel's adhesive technologies and beauty care divisions regularly hire scientists and engineers whose roles map cleanly onto USMCA-eligible professions. Prioritizing these technical teams over general operations roles improves your odds of receiving an offer letter that clearly supports TN admission.
Confirm offer letter specifics before border entry
Henkel's offer letter must state your USMCA profession category, employment duration, and job duties. Review it carefully before you travel. A vague or incomplete letter is the most common reason CBP officers ask additional questions or decline admission at the port of entry.
Use Migrate Mate to find active Henkel openings
Searching for TN-eligible roles at a large multinational can be time-consuming without the right filter. Migrate Mate surfaces Henkel positions filtered by TN-eligible employers, so you can focus your application effort on roles where TN admission is already a supported path.
Benchmark your salary against OFLC Wage Search
While TN doesn't require a Labor Condition Application, Henkel's compensation must still be competitive. Look up prevailing wages for your occupation code in your work location using OFLC Wage Search before negotiating your offer, so you enter salary discussions with accurate regional data.
Prepare documentation for same-day TN decisions
Canadian nationals receive TN admission at the port of entry on the same day, with no advance filing. Bring your offer letter, degree transcripts, and professional credentials in original or certified form. Henkel's HR team can provide supplementary documentation if CBP requests clarification about your role's technical scope.
Henkel TN Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Henkel sponsor TN visas?
Henkel supports TN admission for qualifying Canadian and Mexican professionals by issuing offer letters that document the role, profession category, and employment terms. TN is treaty-based admission under USMCA, so there's no employer petition or USCIS filing involved. Henkel's technical and scientific roles in chemicals, adhesives, and materials science are the most common fit for TN-eligible candidates.
Which roles at Henkel typically qualify for TN admission?
Roles in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, and industrial engineering are the strongest TN matches at Henkel, given its core business in adhesives, sealants, and specialty chemicals. Scientists and engineers in R&D, formulation, and product development teams tend to have job duties that align most directly with defined USMCA profession categories. General management or operations roles are less likely to qualify.
How do I start the TN process after receiving a Henkel offer?
Once Henkel issues your offer letter, Canadian nationals present it directly at a U.S. port of entry alongside proof of citizenship, degree credentials, and supporting documentation. Mexican nationals apply at a U.S. consulate. There's no USCIS petition and no waiting period for initial TN admission. Review your offer letter carefully to confirm it states your USMCA profession category and role description.
How long does TN admission take for Henkel candidates?
Canadian nationals can receive same-day TN admission at a U.S. port of entry if their documentation is complete. Mexican nationals face consular appointment wait times, which vary by location and season. TN status is granted in increments and can be extended indefinitely as long as you maintain a qualifying role at Henkel. There's no annual cap or lottery affecting TN timelines.
How do I find TN-eligible jobs at Henkel?
Migrate Mate filters employer listings by TN-eligible companies, making it straightforward to identify open roles at Henkel where TN admission is a supported path. Cross-reference any role you're targeting against the USMCA TN professions list and confirm your degree aligns with the position's stated requirements before applying, since TN eligibility depends on both the employer and the specific job duties.
How does TN visa admission work at Henkel?
TN status is granted under the USMCA treaty — there is no USCIS petition or Labor Condition Application required. Canadian citizens can apply directly at a U.S. port of entry with an offer letter from Henkel, while Mexican citizens must first obtain a TN visa at a U.S. consulate. The role must match one of the professions listed in USMCA Appendix 1603.D.1. Migrate Mate filters TN job listings to roles that fall within the eligible profession list.
