MORE ABOUT HOPPER
At Hopper, we are on a mission to become the leading travel platform globally – powering Hopper’s mobile app, website and our B2B business, HTS (Hopper Technology Solutions). By leveraging massive amounts of data and advanced machine learning algorithms, Hopper combines its world-class travel agency offering with proprietary fintech products to bring transparency, flexibility and savings to travelers globally. We have developed several unique fintech solutions that address everything from pricing volatility to trip disruptions – helping people travel better and save more on their trips.
The Hopper platform serves hundreds of millions of travelers globally and continues to capture market share around the world. The Hopper app has been downloaded over 120 million times and has become largely popular among younger travelers – with 70% of its users being Gen Z and millennials.
While everyone knows us as the Gen Z and Millennial travel app, Hopper has evolved to become much more than that. In recent years, we’ve grown into a travel fintech provider, commerce platform, and global travel agency that powers some of the world’s largest brands.
Through HTS, our B2B division, the company supercharges its partners’ direct channels by integrating our fintech products on their sites or powering end-to-end travel portals. Today, our partners include leading travel brands like Capital One, Nubank, Air Canada, and many more.
HERE ARE JUST A FEW STATS THAT DEMONSTRATE THE COMPANY’S RECENT GROWTH:
- Billions of dollars worth of travel and travel fintech are sold through Hopper and HTS’ channels every year.
- Our fintech products – including Cancel for Any Reason and Flight Disruption Assistance – have exceptionally strong CSAT because the terms are always clear, and customers receive instant, no-questions-asked resolutions.
- Almost 30% of our app customers purchase at least one fintech product when making a booking; and consumers are 1.6x more likely to repurchase if they add fintech to their booking vs if they booked just travel.
- Given the success of its fintech products, Hopper launched a B2B initiative, HTS (Hopper Technology Solutions), which represents more than 75% of the business.
Through HTS, any travel provider (airlines, hotels, banks, travel agencies, etc.) can integrate and seamlessly distribute Hopper’s fintech or travel inventory on their direct channels. As its first HTS partnership, the company partnered with Capital One to co-develop Capital One Travel, a new travel portal designed specifically for cardholders. Other HTS partners include Air Canada, Uber, CommBank, Nubank, Flair Airlines and many more.
Hopper has been named the #1 most innovative company in travel by Fast Company. Hopper has been downloaded over 120 million times and continues to have millions of new installs each month. Hopper is now the #3 largest online travel agency in North America and 70% of our app customers are Gen-Z and millennials travelers.
Hopper has raised over $750 million USD of private capital and is backed by some of the largest institutional investors and banks in the world. HTS is primed to continue its growth as the leading travel ecommerce provider in a $1 trillion online shopping category. The Hopper app and website will also continue to be the preferred travel provider for Gen Z and Millennials.

Match your occupation to USMCA categories
Before applying, confirm your role at Hopper maps to an eligible USMCA profession such as Systems Analyst or Computer Engineer. Use O*NET to verify the occupation's standard title and duties, then align your resume language to match that classification precisely.
Prepare degree credentials before interviewing
Hopper's recruiting team moves quickly once an offer is extended. Have your official transcripts, degree certificate, and any professional license documents ready to share immediately. Canadian candidates especially need these at the port of entry, so delays in gathering them can stall your start date.
Search verified TN employer histories on Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to review Hopper's immigration hiring patterns before you apply. Seeing which roles the company has historically supported for TN candidates helps you target the right teams and frame your application around positions with a genuine track record.
Ask Hopper's recruiter about offer letter specifics
The offer letter Hopper issues must state your job title, duties, anticipated length of stay, and your USMCA profession category. Request a draft early in the process and confirm all four elements are present before you book a border crossing or consulate appointment.
Benchmark your salary against OFLC Wage Search
Although TN doesn't require a formal Labor Condition Application, Hopper still aligns compensation with prevailing wage standards for its market. Cross-check your offered salary against the OFLC Wage Search for your occupation code and metro area so you can negotiate from an informed position.
Plan your Canadian border crossing strategically
Canadian nationals can obtain TN status at a land port of entry or preclearance airport on the same day with the right documents. Choose a port with shorter commercial wait times, avoid holiday travel periods, and carry a printed copy of your offer letter alongside your degree credentials.
Hopper TN Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Hopper sponsor TN visas?
Yes, Hopper supports TN admission for qualified Canadian and Mexican nationals in eligible USMCA occupations. Because TN is a treaty-based admission category rather than an employer petition, Hopper's role is to issue a detailed offer letter confirming your job title, duties, and USMCA profession classification. You present that letter at the border or consulate.
Which roles at Hopper typically qualify for TN status?
Hopper's engineering, data science, and systems analysis teams are the most common areas where TN-eligible roles appear. Positions mapped to USMCA professions such as Computer Systems Analyst, Engineer, or Mathematician are strong candidates. Product and research roles may also qualify if the position requires a directly related bachelor's degree and matches a recognized USMCA occupation.
How do I start the TN process after receiving a Hopper offer?
Once Hopper extends an offer, request a TN support letter that includes your job title, a brief description of duties, the USMCA profession category, and your anticipated employment period. Canadian nationals then present this letter with their degree credentials at a port of entry. Mexican nationals must schedule a U.S. consulate appointment and obtain a TN visa stamp before traveling.
How long does TN admission at Hopper take?
Canadian nationals who apply at a port of entry can receive TN status the same day if documents are in order. Mexican nationals should budget several weeks for a consulate appointment, depending on post wait times. Hopper's HR team can typically turn around an offer letter within a few business days once the role is confirmed.
How do I find open TN-compatible roles at Hopper?
Migrate Mate lists Hopper's active openings and surfaces the roles most likely to support TN admission based on occupation category and department history. Filter for positions in engineering, data, and systems analysis, then cross-reference the job description against USMCA profession definitions to confirm your occupation qualifies before investing time in the application process.
How does TN visa admission work at Hopper?
TN status is granted under the USMCA treaty — there is no USCIS petition or Labor Condition Application required. Canadian citizens can apply directly at a U.S. port of entry with an offer letter from Hopper, while Mexican citizens must first obtain a TN visa at a U.S. consulate. The role must match one of the professions listed in USMCA Appendix 1603.D.1. Migrate Mate filters TN job listings to roles that fall within the eligible profession list.
