Match your credentials to USMCA professions
TN eligibility is limited to specific USMCA-listed occupations, so verify your role at SCAN Health Plan maps to a qualifying profession before applying. Check O*NET to confirm your job duties align with the official occupation definition, not just the job title.
Target clinical and analytics teams first
SCAN Health Plan's hiring for TN-eligible professionals concentrates in managed care, population health, and data analytics. Focus your search on these departments, where roles like Registered Nurse, Dietitian, and Systems Analyst consistently match USMCA profession categories and have structured onboarding for credentialed candidates.
Request a detailed offer letter from SCAN
Your TN admission at the border or consulate depends on SCAN Health Plan issuing a support letter that specifies your USMCA profession category, your duties, your intended employment period, and your credentials. Confirm with their HR team that the letter explicitly names the qualifying profession, not just the internal job title.
Verify your wage against OFLC Wage Search
While TN doesn't require an LCA, officers at the border can question whether your offered salary reflects the role's legitimate professional scope. Cross-check SCAN Health Plan's offered compensation against prevailing wages for your occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search before your admission appointment.
Use Migrate Mate to identify SCAN's sponsorship history
Before accepting an offer, use Migrate Mate to review SCAN Health Plan's EB-2 and EB-3 filing history by occupation. This signals which professional roles the company actively supports for long-term immigration, helping you assess whether your TN role has a realistic permanent residency pathway at this employer.
Prepare for a TN renewal tied to your contract term
TN status at SCAN Health Plan is typically granted in increments matching your employment agreement, up to three years at a time with unlimited renewals. Structure your offer letter to request the maximum period, and plan your renewal timeline well before your I-94 expiration to avoid authorization gaps.
SCAN Health Plan TN Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does SCAN Health Plan sponsor TN visas?
Yes. SCAN Health Plan hires Canadian and Mexican nationals under TN status for roles that qualify under the USMCA professions list, including clinical, analytical, and technical positions in managed care. The company issues offer and support letters required for TN admission. There is no USCIS petition involved since TN is treaty-based admission processed at the border or U.S. consulate.
Which roles at SCAN Health Plan typically qualify for TN status?
Roles in clinical operations, population health, data analytics, compliance, and health informatics are the most common TN-eligible positions at SCAN Health Plan. Qualifying USMCA professions in these areas include Registered Nurse, Dietitian, Systems Analyst, and Accountant. Your specific job duties must align with the USMCA profession definition, not just your internal job title.
How do I start the TN process after receiving an offer from SCAN Health Plan?
After accepting your offer, work with SCAN Health Plan's HR or immigration team to obtain a support letter that specifies your USMCA profession, your duties, your credentials, and your employment period. Canadian citizens present this letter at a U.S. port of entry. Mexican nationals apply at a U.S. consulate. No USCIS filing or LCA is required for TN status.
How long does TN admission at SCAN Health Plan take?
Canadian citizens with a complete support letter can be admitted at the border the same day, making TN one of the fastest paths to U.S. work authorization. Mexican nationals applying through a U.S. consulate should expect additional processing time for the visa stamp appointment. TN is typically granted for up to three years and is renewable without a cap on renewals.
How do I know if SCAN Health Plan is a strong long-term immigration employer?
TN status has no direct path to permanent residency on its own, so evaluating an employer's EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship history matters if you plan to stay long-term. Migrate Mate lets you review SCAN Health Plan's employer-sponsored Green Card filing patterns by occupation, so you can assess whether your role has a realistic permanent residency pathway before committing.
How does TN visa admission work at SCAN Health Plan?
TN status is granted under the USMCA treaty — there is no USCIS petition or Labor Condition Application required. Canadian citizens can apply directly at a U.S. port of entry with an offer letter from SCAN Health Plan, while Mexican citizens must first obtain a TN visa at a U.S. consulate. The role must match one of the professions listed in USMCA Appendix 1603.D.1. Migrate Mate filters TN job listings to roles that fall within the eligible profession list.
