Align your credential to USMCA professions
TN admission is only available for roles on the USMCA professions list. Before applying to Steinberg Hart, confirm your degree maps directly to a qualifying occupation like engineer, architect, or urban planner using O*NET to match your job duties to the correct classification.
Target design and technical project roles
Steinberg Hart's construction and real estate work centers on architecture, structural engineering, and project design. Focus your job search on these technical functions, since TN admission depends on a direct match between your degree field and the specific role Steinberg Hart is hiring for.
Request a precise offer letter from Steinberg Hart
Steinberg Hart's offer letter must state your exact TN profession category, your degree field, your anticipated start date, and that employment is temporary. A vague letter creates problems at the border. Ask HR explicitly to reference the USMCA profession name matching your credential.
Search Steinberg Hart roles using Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to find Steinberg Hart positions filtered for TN-eligible roles in construction and real estate. This lets you identify openings where your USMCA profession classification already aligns with the job before you reach out to the hiring team.
Prepare your credential documents before the interview
Canadian nationals present documents at a port of entry, not a consulate. Have your original degree, transcripts, and Steinberg Hart's offer letter ready before your final interview so you're not scrambling after an offer. Delays in credential gathering are the most common source of start-date problems.
Verify prevailing wage expectations early in negotiations
TN has no formal wage certification requirement, but Steinberg Hart's offers for architecture and engineering roles in major metro markets typically reflect competitive compensation. Cross-check salary expectations against the OFLC Wage Search for your occupation and location before negotiating to ensure alignment.
