Match your credentials to USMCA professions
TN admission requires your occupation to appear on the USMCA professions list. For Teledyne's engineering and instrumentation roles, verify your degree field maps directly to an eligible category like engineer or scientist before you apply to any position.
Target Teledyne's defense and instrumentation divisions
Teledyne's TN hiring concentrates in electro-optical systems, defense electronics, and precision instrumentation. Filtering your search by these business units raises your odds of landing a role where TN admission is a routine part of the hiring workflow.
Request an offer letter before crossing the border
Teledyne issues a support letter describing your role, salary, and intended TN occupation. You present this at the port of entry or U.S. consulate. Confirm with HR that the letter names a specific USMCA profession, not just a job title, before you travel.
Verify your wage aligns with prevailing rates
TN doesn't require an LCA, but Teledyne's offer must still reflect reasonable market compensation. Use the OFLC Wage Search and O*NET to benchmark salaries for your specific engineering or science occupation so you can negotiate from an informed position.
Search Teledyne TN jobs through Migrate Mate
Migrate Mate surfaces Teledyne Technologies roles filtered by visa type, letting you identify open positions where TN admission is supported. Search by occupation category to prioritize postings in divisions that regularly hire Canadian and Mexican professionals under USMCA.
Prepare your degree credentials for officer review
CBP officers assess TN eligibility on the spot. Bring official transcripts, your degree certificate, and any professional licenses relevant to your Teledyne role. For technical disciplines in electronics hardware, clarity between your degree field and the listed USMCA profession is decisive.

How long does TN admission take when working with Teledyne Technologies?
For Canadian nationals, TN admission is decided at the border on the day of travel, assuming documentation is complete. Mexican nationals require a consular appointment, which can take several weeks depending on post wait times.
