Match your credentials to USMCA professions
TN eligibility depends on your role falling within the USMCA professions list. For accounting and auditing work at WEAVER, confirm your degree and job title align with recognized categories like Accountant before applying, since mismatched credentials are the most common reason TN admission is refused.
Target WEAVER's audit and advisory teams
WEAVER's core service lines in assurance, tax, and advisory consistently require credentialed accounting professionals. Focus your outreach on these departments, where TN-eligible roles are most likely to appear and where hiring managers are already familiar with cross-border hiring support.
Request a detailed offer letter early
WEAVER's support letter must specify your job title, duties, qualifications, and intended length of stay. Ask for this document before your border or consulate appointment, and verify it reflects USMCA-compliant language. Vague or generic letters are a leading cause of delays at the port of entry.
Use Migrate Mate to find active TN roles
Searching broadly for accounting jobs won't surface which employers are genuinely comfortable with TN admission. Migrate Mate filters WEAVER's open roles by visa type, so you can target positions where cross-border hiring is already part of the firm's process rather than an unfamiliar ask.
Prepare your professional credential documentation
Canadian and Mexican candidates must demonstrate they meet the educational or licensure standard for their TN category. For accounting roles at WEAVER, gather your degree transcripts, CPA or equivalent licensure, and any professional membership records before your appointment. Immigration officers verify these at admission.
Understand the timeline difference by nationality
Canadian citizens receive TN admission directly at the port of entry, often the same day. Mexican citizens must schedule a consulate appointment, which adds weeks to the process. Factor this into your start date negotiation with WEAVER so your offer letter reflects a realistic entry timeline.
WEAVER TN Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does WEAVER sponsor TN visas?
WEAVER hires TN professionals in accounting and auditing roles. Under the TN category, there's no employer petition filed with USCIS. Instead, WEAVER provides a support letter that you present at a U.S. port of entry or consulate. The firm's history of multi-visa hiring indicates familiarity with this process for qualifying candidates.
Which roles at WEAVER are eligible for TN status?
TN status at WEAVER is most commonly available for roles in assurance, tax, and advisory that map to USMCA-recognized professions like Accountant or Management Consultant. The role title and duties in your offer letter must correspond to a specific USMCA category. Roles outside the professions list are not eligible, regardless of your qualifications.
How do I start the TN process with WEAVER?
Once WEAVER extends an offer, they issue a support letter documenting your position, duties, qualifications, and intended employment period. Canadian citizens present this letter directly at a U.S. port of entry for same-day admission. Mexican citizens use it to apply at a U.S. consulate. There's no USCIS petition and no LCA required.
How long does TN admission take when working with WEAVER?
For Canadians, TN admission happens at the border on the day of travel, so the timeline depends mainly on when WEAVER issues your offer letter. For Mexican nationals, consulate appointment availability adds several weeks. Coordinate your target start date with WEAVER early so your letter reflects a realistic entry window.
How do I find TN-eligible job openings at WEAVER?
Migrate Mate surfaces WEAVER's open roles filtered by visa type, so you can identify positions where TN admission is already part of the hiring process. Focus on accounting, audit, and advisory postings that align with USMCA professions. Applying to roles that match both your credentials and a recognized TN category improves your chances of a smooth admission.
How does TN visa admission work at WEAVER?
TN status is granted under the USMCA treaty — there is no USCIS petition or Labor Condition Application required. Canadian citizens can apply directly at a U.S. port of entry with an offer letter from WEAVER, while Mexican citizens must first obtain a TN visa at a U.S. consulate. The role must match one of the professions listed in USMCA Appendix 1603.D.1. Migrate Mate filters TN job listings to roles that fall within the eligible profession list.
