Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding DevOps Jobs at TransUnion Jobs
Align Your Resume to TransUnion's Stack
TransUnion DevOps roles consistently surface requirements around Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS or Azure. Tailor your resume to reflect hands-on experience with these tools before applying, since generic DevOps CVs rarely clear initial screening at data-heavy financial services companies.
Search Open DevOps Roles Using Migrate Mate
Filter TransUnion's current DevOps openings by visa type on Migrate Mate to surface roles actively accepting H-1B or OPT candidates. This saves you from applying to positions where sponsorship isn't on the table before the conversation even starts.
Ask About PERM Timing Before Accepting
TransUnion sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards for DevOps engineers, but PERM labor certification adds 12 to 18 months before an I-140 can be filed. Clarify during the offer stage whether the role is eligible and whether the company initiates PERM proactively or only on request.
Prepare an LCA-Ready Offer Conversation
Before your H-1B filing, your employer must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL certifying prevailing wage compliance. Knowing this step exists helps you ask informed questions about the timeline and flag any delay between your offer letter and the start of the LCA process.
Verify Your I-94 Status Before Onboarding
TransUnion uses E-Verify for all new hires, so any mismatch between your I-94 admission record and your work authorization document will surface immediately. Confirm your I-94 is accurate at cbp.dhs.gov before your start date to avoid an E-Verify tentative nonconfirmation.

Does TransUnion sponsor H-1B visas for DevOps roles?
Yes, TransUnion sponsors H-1B visas for DevOps engineers. The company has an established pattern of filing H-1B petitions for technical roles, including infrastructure and platform engineering positions. If you're currently on OPT, you can begin in that status while the company prepares your H-1B petition for the next available lottery cycle.
How do I apply for DevOps jobs at TransUnion?
Applications go through TransUnion's careers portal, but filtering for visa-sponsored openings is easier on Migrate Mate, where DevOps roles at TransUnion are organized by visa type. When applying, include specific tools from the job description in your resume, as TransUnion's DevOps teams operate across cloud and data infrastructure environments where tooling alignment matters during initial screening.
Which visa types does TransUnion commonly use for DevOps positions?
TransUnion sponsors H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, J-1, and employment-based Green Cards including EB-2 and EB-3 for DevOps roles. H-1B is the most common long-term path for non-Canadian and non-Mexican engineers. Canadian and Mexican citizens working in qualifying technical roles may be eligible for TN status, which doesn't require a lottery.
What qualifications does TransUnion expect for DevOps engineers?
Most TransUnion DevOps roles require a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related engineering field, which also satisfies the specialty occupation requirement for H-1B eligibility. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, container orchestration, and infrastructure-as-code is consistently prioritized. Roles tied to credit data systems may also require familiarity with compliance-aware infrastructure practices.
How do I navigate the H-1B sponsorship timeline at TransUnion?
H-1B cap-subject petitions are filed in April for an October 1 start date. If you're on OPT with a STEM extension, you have up to three years of work authorization, giving TransUnion enough time to sponsor you through one full lottery cycle. Confirm during the offer stage that your role is cap-subject rather than cap-exempt, and clarify when the company plans to initiate USCIS registration.
