Align your certifications with Bloomberg's stack
Bloomberg's infrastructure leans heavily on Kubernetes, Terraform, and large-scale Linux environments. Certifications like CKA or AWS Solutions Architect signal hands-on depth, not just familiarity, which matters when their teams review DevOps candidates.
Target roles that map to your visa category
Bloomberg sponsors H-1B, E-3, and H-1B1 visas, but not every open DevOps role gets filed under the same category. Australians on E-3 and Chileans or Singaporeans on H-1B1 should confirm their classification during recruiter screening, before the offer stage.
Search Bloomberg's DevOps openings on Migrate Mate
Filter by visa type to find Bloomberg DevOps roles that match your sponsorship eligibility. Migrate Mate surfaces positions from employers with verified sponsorship histories, so you spend less time guessing and more time applying to roles that fit.
Prepare for a technical-heavy interview process
Bloomberg's DevOps interviews typically include system design rounds and infrastructure troubleshooting scenarios. Practicing CI/CD pipeline design questions and distributed systems concepts sharpens your performance and builds confidence before your first technical screen.
Understand the LCA's role before your offer
Your employer files a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before USCIS can process your H-1B or E-3 petition. The LCA certifies your wage meets the prevailing rate for your location. Know what role title and work location appear on it, because both affect your status.
Use OPT strategically while pursuing a full sponsorship
If you're on F-1 OPT and join Bloomberg, your 60-day grace period clock doesn't pause during H-1B processing. Confirm your OPT end date against Bloomberg's expected petition filing timeline so your status stays continuous and your start date is protected.

Find DevOps at Bloomberg JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Bloomberg sponsor H-1B visas for DevOps roles?
Yes, Bloomberg sponsors H-1B visas for DevOps positions. The company also sponsors H-1B1 visas for eligible nationals from Chile and Singapore, E-3 visas for Australian citizens, and supports longer-term Green Card pathways through EB-2 and EB-3 categories for qualifying employees. Your visa category will depend on your nationality and the specific role.
How do I apply for DevOps jobs at Bloomberg?
Applications go through Bloomberg's careers portal, where DevOps roles are listed under engineering and technology. Tailoring your resume to reflect infrastructure-at-scale experience, including specific tools like Kubernetes, Ansible, or Terraform, helps your application stand out. You can also browse open Bloomberg DevOps roles filtered by visa eligibility on Migrate Mate before applying directly.
Which visa types does Bloomberg commonly use for DevOps professionals?
Bloomberg uses H-1B for most international DevOps hires, along with H-1B1 for nationals from Chile and Singapore, and E-3 for Australian citizens. For DevOps professionals already working at the company who want permanent residency, Bloomberg has filed EB-2 and EB-3 petitions. The right category depends on your nationality and the specific role's requirements.
What qualifications does Bloomberg look for in DevOps candidates?
Bloomberg typically expects a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, along with hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, container orchestration, and CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with financial systems or high-availability environments is an advantage. For H-1B eligibility, the role must qualify as a specialty occupation, meaning the degree requirement must be specific to the position.
How do I think about visa sponsorship timing when targeting Bloomberg?
For H-1B, USCIS opens the annual lottery in March for an October 1 start date, so early engagement with Bloomberg's recruiting team matters if you're aiming for that cycle. E-3 and H-1B1 visas have no annual cap, which means Bloomberg can file those petitions year-round. Building your application materials well before a target start date keeps your options open across all categories.
