Align your credentials to USCIS specialty occupation standards
JPMorganChase's DevOps roles typically require a degree in computer science, information systems, or a closely related field. Confirm your credentials satisfy the USCIS specialty occupation definition before applying, especially if your degree title is non-standard.
Target infrastructure and platform engineering job families
JPMorganChase posts DevOps roles under several internal job families. Search for titles like Site Reliability Engineer, Platform Engineer, and Cloud Automation Engineer to surface roles where visa sponsorship is actively supported by the technology division.
Expect a multi-round technical screening process
JPMorganChase DevOps interviews typically include system design, Kubernetes or CI/CD pipeline scenarios, and security-oriented questions reflecting the firm's regulated environment. Preparing for compliance-aware infrastructure questions gives you a stronger signal than general DevOps prep.
Confirm H-1B sponsorship before your final interview round
Large financial institutions route sponsorship decisions through central HR or legal teams, not hiring managers. Ask your recruiter directly whether the specific role is approved for H-1B sponsorship during the offer stage, not after you've signed.
Browse verified DevOps openings at JPMorganChase on Migrate Mate
Filter by visa type and role to find JPMorganChase DevOps positions where H-1B, E-3, or Green Card sponsorship has been confirmed. Migrate Mate surfaces these roles specifically so you're not cold-applying to positions that won't support your visa.
Use DOL's PERM timeline to plan your green card window
If you're targeting long-term status through JPMorganChase, PERM labor certification typically takes 12 to 18 months before USCIS even receives the I-140 petition. Factor this into your offer negotiations so you understand when the EB-2 or EB-3 process realistically begins.

Find DevOps at JPMorganChase JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does JPMorganChase sponsor H-1B visas for DevOps roles?
Yes, JPMorganChase sponsors H-1B visas for DevOps professionals. The firm has a well-established immigration program through its legal and HR departments, which handles petitions for technology roles including DevOps, infrastructure, and platform engineering. Sponsorship decisions are made at a corporate level, so confirm with your recruiter that the specific role you're applying to is approved for H-1B support before accepting an offer.
How do I apply for DevOps jobs at JPMorganChase?
Apply directly through JPMorganChase's careers portal or browse verified visa-sponsored openings on Migrate Mate. Search for titles like DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, or Platform Engineer. Tailor your resume to reflect infrastructure automation, cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, and CI/CD tooling. JPMorganChase uses a structured interview process, so expect technical screens followed by system design and behavioral rounds before an offer is extended.
Which visa types does JPMorganChase commonly use for DevOps professionals?
JPMorganChase sponsors several visa categories for DevOps roles. The H-1B is the most common for candidates already in the U.S. or entering from abroad. Australian citizens may be eligible for the E-3, which bypasses the H-1B lottery. For candidates with advanced degrees, JPMorganChase also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways, typically initiated after a period of employment under a nonimmigrant visa.
What qualifications and experience does JPMorganChase expect for DevOps roles?
JPMorganChase DevOps roles generally require a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related technical field. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, container orchestration tools like Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines is expected. Because JPMorganChase operates in a heavily regulated financial environment, familiarity with security controls, access management, and compliance-aware infrastructure practices gives candidates a meaningful advantage over applicants with general DevOps backgrounds.
How do I plan my timeline around JPMorganChase's H-1B sponsorship process?
If you're targeting an H-1B through JPMorganChase, the annual USCIS lottery registration window opens in March for an October 1 start date. JPMorganChase typically initiates sponsorship paperwork after an offer is accepted, so starting your job search by October or November of the prior year gives you the best chance of having an offer in place before the registration deadline. If you're already on OPT, your employer can file once you receive a lottery selection notice.
