INTRODUCTION

NVIDIA is looking for a highly motivated engineering manager to join its Software Infrastructure team. The position will be part of a dynamic crew that develops sophisticated software tools to optimize development workflow and increase overall efficiency. NVIDIA is crafting a vision of incredible user experiences in the mobile, embedded and automotive spaces by combining our groundbreaking Tegra and GPU development efforts into creative boundary pushing and genre defining products. The Infrastructure, Planning and Processes (IPP) team is a global organization within NVIDIA which helps make this vision possible by crafting and maintaining a large-scale private cloud system used for providing build and test infrastructure services for NVIDIA GPU, Mobile and Automotive Divisions. You should thrive when working in the critical path supporting thousands of developers working for billion-dollar business lines as well as intimately understand the values of responsiveness, thoroughness and teamwork.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• You will be managing a team of engineers and managers who design and implement applications and sophisticated CI/CD tools and workflows using open-source and Nvidia proprietary software.
• Improving the quality of existing infrastructure by designing and implementing automated monitoring and recovery systems for new and existing services.
• Evaluating, identifying and driving software solutions to optimize critical software development workflows across various organizations within Nvidia.
• Deriving critical metrics for existing and new tools and drive towards improving those.
• Collaborate with teams across the globe to drive process changes that can help improve development workflow.
• Championing and implementing efficiency and usability improvements across various teams.
• Driving automation to monitor and gain more insight into applications and system health.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's/Master’s degree in computer science or computer engineering or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of managing DevOps organization
• 10+ overall years work experience in a software development or test organization
• Strong Python programming skills, excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
• Ability to take initiatives and drive them across multiple functional teams.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with HTML, Javascript and SQL, NoSQL databases
• Previous experience with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins
• Knowledge of Perforce and GIT
• Experience with agile software development methodology and practices.

LI-Hybrid

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 208,000 USD - 333,500 USD. You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
