Align Your Degree to Networking Engineering Roles
Versa Networks hires for roles requiring specialized knowledge in network engineering, distributed systems, or cybersecurity. A degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a directly related field strengthens your specialty occupation case when USCIS reviews your H-1B petition.
Target Teams Building SD-WAN and SASE Products
Versa's core engineering work centers on SD-WAN, SASE, and cloud security platforms. Framing your experience around these specific domains, rather than general software development, signals fit for roles where the company has demonstrated willingness to sponsor.
Start Your OPT Job Search Before Authorization Begins
F-1 students can start OPT up to 90 days before their program end date. Reaching out to Versa Networks while you still have runway gives both sides time to assess fit without the pressure of an expiring work authorization clock.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Versa Networks Engineering Openings
Sponsorship-eligible Engineering roles at Versa Networks don't always get flagged clearly on general job boards. Search Migrate Mate to surface open positions filtered by visa sponsorship type so you're only applying where sponsorship is confirmed.
Prepare for the LCA Prevailing Wage Before Offer Stage
Before your H-1B can be filed, your employer must submit a Labor Condition Application to DOL certifying your salary meets the prevailing wage for the role and location. Knowing the wage level for your target title helps you negotiate from an informed position.
Understand TN Eligibility If You Hold Canadian or Mexican Citizenship
Versa Networks sponsors TN status, which requires no lottery and allows relatively fast processing. If you qualify, your job title and degree field must map to an approved USMCA TN category, with computer systems analyst and engineer classifications covering most technical engineering roles.

Find Engineering at Versa Networks JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Versa Networks sponsor H-1B visas for Engineers?
Yes, Versa Networks sponsors H-1B visas for Engineering roles. The company has a documented history of filing H-1B petitions for technical positions, particularly in networking, cloud infrastructure, and security engineering. If you're on OPT and targeting a full-time offer, Versa's Engineering teams are a viable path toward H-1B sponsorship.
How do I apply for Engineering jobs at Versa Networks?
Apply through Versa Networks' careers page or find sponsorship-confirmed openings on Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa type. Tailor your resume to highlight hands-on experience with networking protocols, distributed systems, or cloud security platforms, as those are the technical areas where Versa consistently recruits Engineering talent.
Which visa types does Versa Networks commonly sponsor for Engineering roles?
Versa Networks sponsors H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and employment-based Green Cards including EB-2 and EB-3 for Engineering positions. OPT and CPT are common entry points for recent graduates, with H-1B sponsorship following for strong performers. TN is available for qualified Canadian and Mexican nationals in eligible engineering categories.
What qualifications does Versa Networks expect for sponsored Engineering roles?
Most Engineering roles at Versa Networks require a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, electrical engineering, or a closely related field. Practical experience with SD-WAN, SASE, network security, or cloud-native infrastructure is valued over generalist backgrounds. USCIS requires the role to qualify as a specialty occupation, so the degree-to-job-title alignment needs to be specific.
How do I time my application if I need sponsorship within a specific deadline?
H-1B cap-subject petitions can only be filed once per year, with the lottery registration window typically opening in March and an October 1 start date. If you're on OPT expiring before October, confirm whether cap-gap protection applies to your F-1 status. Starting conversations with Versa Networks Engineering teams several months before your authorization expires gives enough lead time for the filing process.
