Job Summary: Assists and train under the Production Supervisor in leading and motivating employees on a shift in order to fulfill operating procedures, meet the production schedule, and develop production team members to create an efficiently operating production team structure.
Location: The Senior Relief Operator will support our Aunt Em's business in Deer Creek, IL.
Key Responsibilities:
- This is a frontline working position that will perform the duties of Relief Operator as needed.
- Ensure that QA procedures are being followed correctly by production Team Members.
- Ensure that production procedures are being completed properly by production Team Members.
- Ensure that production Team Members are following Aunt Em’s sanitation, GMPs, HACCP procedures, Food Safety policies and Occupational Safety Policies.
- Act as a Champion for Food Safety, Quality and Occupational Safety by sharing concerns with Operations, Quality and Maintenance leadership teams.
- Supports Production Supervisor in communicating with employees regarding directives for the shift.
- Ensure that all physical areas within and around the facility are secure and safe to ensure the safety of plant personal and product integrity.
- Motivate production Team Members in their job performance.
- Ensure shift efficiency for optimal performance.
- Mentor and develop Team Members.
- Train and coordinate training for production Team Members to promote satisfactory job performance.
- Work with other Shift Leaders to cover positions for call-ins, vacations, or injuries.
- Work with shift leads to cover fellow shift lead absences.
- Make process improvement suggestions.
- Ability to work daily overtime as needed.
- Serves as back-up for Production Supervisor.
