WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Our Central Region Environmental businesses are looking for a Senior Environmental Engineer, Geologist, or Scientist to join their team in Baton Rouge, LA; Houston, TX; Dallas, TX; or Golden, CO. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the future of our Contamination Assessment & Remediation service line through the coordination and implementation of a wide range of environmental solutions and projects.
Responsibilities
Working with an energetic and high-performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Preparation of technical correspondence, project proposals, reports, work plans, and project specifications
- Coordinate and implement project permitting
- Interpretation/evaluation of environmental regulations
- Data compilation, reduction, and interpretation
- Management of clients
- Development of business opportunities
- Mentorship of staff
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or related field
- PE or PG will be highly regarded
- 10+ years of experience in environmental consulting, including environmental remediation and site assessments, report writing, data management & interpretation, project coordination, and managing clients
- Project experience in federal contracts is beneficial
- Experience in coordinating and simultaneously managing multiple tasks while maintaining a high degree of attention to detail in a consulting environment is preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work both within a team and independently
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification a plus
- Ability and willingness to travel to client meetings is required
COMPENSATION
- Salary: $86,600.00 - $167,000.00, varies based on experience and location.

- 401K - Employees are eligible to participate on the first day of the month following 3 months of service
- Paid time off – Our PTO benefit is designed to provide eligible employees with a period of rest and relaxation, sick, and personal time throughout the year. PTO starts at 16 days per year and increases with years of service
- Holiday Pay - Holiday pay is provided for eligible employees. GHD observes 9 holidays per year. Holiday pay will be based on the regular set schedule for the employee
- Wellness Benefit - Regular full-term employees are eligible to participate in the wellness reimbursement program. GHD will reimburse 50% of the cost of the following to a maximum of $250.00 reimbursement annually for such items as: Health club membership fees, Home exercise equipment purchases, Bicycles, Race, run & marathon entrance fees, Smoking cessation programs, Weight loss programs (i.e., Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig), Fitbits and Fitness Tracking devices
