INTRODUCTION
The Department of Pediatrics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago seek a full-time non tenure or tenure track Clinician Scientist at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include the development of a research program in the Edwards Family Division of Genetics and Rare Diseases. The candidates should demonstrate a research growth trajectory in basic or translational research in human genetics-related research themes. The candidate will foster collaborative interactions with clinical and laboratory scientists. In addition to research, this position will contribute to the education mission of the division and department. Clinical effort will be allocated based on research program demands.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified candidates will have an MD (or equivalent) or MD/PhD (or equivalent) and should be board certified in Medical Genetics.
COMPENSATION
The expected base pay range for this position is $220,000 - $233,560 (Assistant Professor) or $233,928 - $260,929 (Associate Professor). Northwestern University has provided a pay range representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for the position. The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including years since terminal degree, training, and field or discipline; departmental budget availability; internal comparators; and external market pay for comparable jobs.
