How do I get a infrastructure engineer job in Atlanta?
Focus your search on Atlanta's enterprise technology, financial services, telecom, and logistics sectors, which drive the heaviest infrastructure hiring locally. Midtown's tech corridor, Buckhead's finance district, and the Cumberland area near Cobb County host the densest concentrations of openings. Candidates who demonstrate hands-on experience with cloud platforms, network architecture, or data center operations stand out in Atlanta's competitive market, as do those with relevant certifications such as AWS, Azure, or Cisco credentials.
Which companies hire infrastructure engineers in Atlanta?

Atlanta's employer mix leans heavily toward large enterprises in finance, media, and logistics alongside a growing base of mid-market technology companies and managed service providers headquartered or regionally anchored in the city.
Are there remote infrastructure engineer jobs in Atlanta?
Yes, though availability varies by specialization, since roles requiring hands-on data center, network cabling, or physical hardware work are typically on-site while cloud, systems administration, and monitoring roles offer more flexibility. About 35% of infrastructure engineer openings tied to Atlanta are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting a market where hybrid arrangements are common at larger enterprise employers. Cloud infrastructure and DevOps-adjacent roles show the highest rates of remote work among Atlanta postings.
How can I get a infrastructure engineer job in Atlanta with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Atlanta is through helpdesk or junior systems administrator roles at managed service providers, which are well represented in the metro area and routinely promote from within. Atlanta's large healthcare systems, universities, and corporate headquarters also hire entry-level IT support staff who can grow into infrastructure roles. Earning a foundational certification such as CompTIA Network+ or CompTIA A+ before applying significantly strengthens your candidacy with Atlanta employers who use those credentials as a hiring filter.
