ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for managing, packaging, & distribution of pharmaceuticals. Coordinates receipt of orders, scheduling of prepacking, & outbound shipments or deliveries. The Inventory & Distribution Coordinator will work independently with oversight of a pharmacy manager or pharmacist as needed. They will be responsible for performing pharmacy related functions in compliance with departmental policies and procedures that provide optimal pharmaceutical care.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

High school diploma or Equivalent.

Must possess current licensure as required by state board where services will be provided:
WV: Pharmacy Technician License or Trainee License through West Virginia Board of Pharmacy -
Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician through Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
OR
If applicant has two (2) or more years of pharmacy specific or healthcare related experience, must be obtained within 15 months of hire.
Experience:
1. One (1) year of Pharmacy Technician or healthcare related experience.

Graduate of a pharmacy technician training program.
Experience:
1. Previous experience in supply chain or inventory management.
CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Follows established procedures concerning quality assurance and hazardous drug management. Assures compliance with national standards and regulatory requirements.

Schedules site deliveries as needed. Assures safe, effective distribution and quality of medications.

Assists with identifying all warehouse function needs of system facilities.

Contacts wholesalers or manufacturers for requested product tracking.

Maintains inventory & invoice records in a timely and complete manner.
-
Assists the pharmacist with the process of packaging and labeling of medications.

Calculates quantities needing prepacked for each facility and for warehouse inventory, maintaining appropriate packaging logs.

Provides storage information and other required medication guides with each delivery.

Maintains proper storage of medications (i.e. security, temperature controlled items, etc.).

Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to communicate to all customers.

Works with other coordinators, pharmacists, and managers to develop and attain quarterly objectives.

Communicates problems hindering workflow to management in a timely manner.

Assists in the training of warehouse staff.

Completes delivery fee calculations. Accurately identifies anticipated charges for expedited delivery needs.

Maintains appropriate inventory levels in all areas of focus to include warehouse, clinics, packaging, and others as assigned.

Coordinates routine rotation of stock in all areas of focus to include warehouse, clinics, packaging, and others as assigned.

Manages recall alerts including communication to all impacted facilities & collection of recalled products.

Assists manager & peers with routine inventory optimization evaluations.

Delivers medications to assigned locations & provides inventory services such as stocking, stock rotation, & inventory level maintenance.

Coordinates expired medication returns with reverse distributor.

Assists purchasing coordinators, managers, and operational pharmacists with managing shortage allotments.

Performs required DSCSA functions as assigned.

Assists with annual physical inventory functions as assigned.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge of drugs, drugs dosing, side effects, indications, contraindications, and proper administration preferred.

Knowledge of rules, policies and regulations related to the disbursal of pharmaceutical drugs preferred.

Must be able to work accurately, efficiently, and safely in a fast-paced environment.

Must be polite and respectful when communicating with staff, physicians, patients, and families. Must approach interpersonal relations in a positive manner.

Must demonstrate flexibility to meet the needs of department or hospital in regard to changes in work volume, planned change, scheduling changes and emergency call-backs (i.e. weather or disaster).

Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing and place high emphasis on customer service.

Seeking a detail‑oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our repackaging team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for accurately repackaging medications, labeling products, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring compliance with all pharmacy regulations and safety standards. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, highly regulated environment. Prior pharmacy or healthcare experience is preferred, but we’re willing to train the right candidate who brings strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
