ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for day to day scheduling, monitoring of work flow in a patient registration, processing payments and billing accounts as well as oversight of patient record releases. Acts as a resource to the staff for operational issues and to any other customer who needs assistance.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
- High school diploma or equivalent

- Medical Office Certification

- Insurance experience

- Employee must have proficient use of and accurate data entry and ability to abstract data.
- Reviews work for accuracy
- Collaborates with other staff to assure medical record and scheduling is accurate
- Collects and post payments accurately and balances at the end of the shift
- Releases medical records and Protected Health Information per protocols and adheres to HIPAA
- Communicates with patients and clinic staff to ensure proper paperwork is available for the office visit.
- Monitors use of hospital resources. Assists with ensuring supplies are available.
- Ensures excellence of service in all clinics where employee is assigned to work
- Uses software programs needed to complete registration and process requests for medical records.
