Job Summary
Jackson School is actively recruiting licensed and experienced candidates for a Music teaching position.
Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) is seeking highly motivated and creative individuals to build and implement high quality music education programming. Music educators are part of the vibrant arts community in Milwaukee and have countless opportunities to partner with Milwaukee's professional arts organizations. Educators are supported by the Music Curriculum Specialist and music support teachers in the office of Fine Arts, as well as the Milwaukee Music Educators Association, a growing community of music educators across the district who seek to share best practices and develop a strong and culturally responsive music curriculum.
MPS music educators provide a music curriculum aligned to the Wisconsin Music Standards. In MPS, the teachers and leaders are committed to the vision of high expectations for achievement, equal access to high levels of instruction, the achievement of academic proficiency for all students, and the closing of the achievement gap among subgroups within the schools. Milwaukee Public Schools is a great place for those who seek to work in an environment that supports their creativity and innovation and respects their skills and abilities as a teacher.
A MPS teacher provides an instructional program for students which is appropriate to their educational needs and developmental level.
