To support this momentum, we are hiring a mission-driven Owner’s Representative / Construction Project Manager based in Louisiana to help deliver these impactful developments on time and to the highest standards.
About the Role
As the Owner’s Representative, you will act as the owner’s eyes and ears on active jobsites. You will drive field coordination, track schedules, enforce construction quality, and oversee general contractors from pre-development through final closeout.
This is a hybrid role operating out of Louisiana, offering remote flexibility when not traveling to project sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent the owner’s interests during design coordination, pre-construction, and active jobsite execution.
- Conduct regular jobsite inspections to verify work progress, material quality, and compliance with plans/specs.
- Attend site progress meetings, review RFIs, submittals, and change orders, and assist in resolving field conflicts quickly.
- Collaborate with general contractors, architects, engineers, inspectors, and community stakeholders.
- Monitor critical-path schedules, project budgets, and key milestones to keep developments on track.
- Lead punch-list walks, manage third-party/municipal inspections, and oversee final project closeout and turnover.
- Prepare concise field reports, photo documentation, and progress updates for executive leadership.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Civil Engineering, or a closely related degree program (Required).
- Experience: 1–3+ years of relevant construction experience (general contractor, developer, or owner's rep background preferred; strong field internship experience considered).
- Location: Must be based in Louisiana (proximity to New Orleans or major transit hubs preferred).
- Travel: Willingness and ability to travel to job sites across Louisiana and adjacent states as required by project phase.
- Skills: Strong organizational skills, clear technical communication, and proficiency in construction management software/tools.
- Mission Alignment: Genuine passion for community development and affordable housing equity.
