The Senior Research Assistant I will support multiple grant-funded research and evaluation projects at PSU’s Regional Research Institute for Human Services and Institute on Aging.
Tasks include coordinating research activities; communicating with community and interdisciplinary collaborators; basic qualitative or statistical analysis; creating and maintaining databases and data dashboards; coordinating the collection, processing, and reporting of data; and assisting in judging the validity of data.
Primary Activity R - Research
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work
- Demonstrated ability to perform focused research or evaluation tasks
- 2 or more years conducting research at .50 FTE or above
- At least 1 year of experience collecting, analyzing, and reporting program evaluation data
- At least 1 year of experience with SPSS Statistics, Microsoft Excel, Qualtrics research software, and ASANA project management software
- Ability to create data dashboards
- Familiarity with the following evidence-based practices: IPS+, PEARLS, Zero Suicide & Trauma Informed Care
- Ability to occasionally travel and work remote from campus
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Social Work
- Experience evaluating the above evidence-based practices

Total Compensation Range & Benefits Statement
Salary is dependent on several factors, and new employees will typically start around the Q1 level to allow for later growth within the salary band. PSU has a structured process for determining starting compensation, taking into account years of related experience, applicable skills, knowledge and abilities, market parity, and internal equity.
The starting annual salary for this position will be $69,216 (at 1.0 FTE), but may be negotiated above this rate dependent upon the factors above, the budget of the hiring department, and approval from HR.
An excellent benefits package includes 95% premium paid healthcare; a generous retirement and vacation package; and reduced tuition rates for employee, spouse or dependent at any of the Oregon University System schools.
