North Vista Hospital is an accredited 177-bed state-of-the-art hospital located in North Las Vegas, Nevada. North Vista offers comprehensive healthcare services, including mental health care, emergency care, heart care, advanced surgical procedures, diagnostic imaging and help for a broad range of medical conditions. Responsibilities:
- To provide oversight and task assignment to ASWs and MFTIs.
- Assist Director in quality assurance and program development tasks for social services.
- To provide emotional support, crisis intervention and counseling; information and referral; referrals for financial assistance and supportive services to patients and families with problems that are related to hospitalization, illness, disability, or trauma in all clinical care areas.
- To provide case management, milieu management, complete psychosocial assessments, assist in the development and re-evaluation of treatment plans, work as a member of an interdisciplinary team, and to coordinate discharge planning.
- Complete necessary documentation and maintain clinical record for all social service consults during their length of stay.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Social Work
- Must have an active Licensed Clinical Social Worker license in the State of Nevada (LCSW)
- Obtain BLS within 90 days of hire and keep current.
- Minimum of two (2) years Inpatient or Outpatient Behavioral Health experience. Experience in working with a diverse population with a wide range of problems (i.e., death and dying, maternal and childcare, unhoused population, substance use disorders, disability, chronic illness, etc.).
Preferred qualifications:
- State Board approval to provide clinical supervision to interns, if applicable.
- Certified Case Manager Certification
