INTRODUCTION
Enterprise Cloud Solution architect will be responsible to create and execute cloud computing strategies by designing, developing, and managing cloud infrastructure and assets to help a business meet its goals. The position will be responsible for deploying well architected framework pillars, ensuring customers are following best practices, guidance, and recommendations to develop cloud solutions that are secure, resilient, efficient, and managed with operational excellence.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop flexible architectures that enable capabilities that are leveraged across Magna
- Design cloud-based solutions that comply to GDPR and CCPA standards
- Architect and design solutions built on cloud
- Migrate or transform legacy solutions to the cloud
- Ensure customers are following best practices and guidance
- Present and whiteboard solutions with a high degree of comfort speaking with internal and external executives, IT management, and technical teams
- Demonstrate outstanding and proven leadership skills in working with senior-level management helping in decision making
- Adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- BS or MS in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent experience
- 8+ years’ experience in developing technology solutions, including but not limited to: operations/engineering, networking engineering, infrastructure/database architecture, and/or applications development
- 3+ years of experience in software development
- 2+ years of experience in microservice design or containerization
- 7+ years of experience with developing cloud-based solutions on AWS and/or Microsoft Azure
- 5+ years of experience with frameworks, architecture patterns, and design patterns
- AWS or Azure Solutions Architect or Developer Associate certification
- Expertise with REST based Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) methods and implementation technologies such as microservices
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, GCP, and private cloud technologies
- Understanding of Infrastructure-as-a-Service, Platform-as-a-Service, Software-as-a-Service, and Function-as-a-Service models
- Understanding of the public Cloud Shared Responsibility Model
- Strong background in authentication and authorization protocols and applications such as Azure Active Directory, AWS Cognito, and OAuth 2.0
- Current understanding of best practices regarding system security measures
- Experience with Docker containers
- Experience with multiple programming languages (ex: JavaScript, C#, Python, C++, Java)
- Ability to write code to interact with cloud native services
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Broad technology experience across at least 2-3 of these areas including: cloud architecture, applications development, relational databases, NoSQL databases, analytics, machine learning, networking, security, storage, DevOps, containers, serverless, CI/CD, management and monitoring, cloud migrations, IT transformation
- Presentation and whiteboarding skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with internal and external executives, IT management, and technical teams
- Outstanding and proven leadership skills in working with senior-level management helping in decision making
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
