Summary:
We are looking for an experienced People Business Partner to support our Corporate Functions — Finance, Legal, Cybersecurity, and HR. Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, you will serve as a trusted advisor to the leaders of each function, delivering people programs and partnerships that keep our organizational infrastructure strong and our teams performing at their best.
This role sits at the heart of how our company operates. Corporate Functions at our organization are lean, high-expertise teams where every role matters. You will need to move fluidly between strategic counsel and hands-on execution, building credibility with specialized professionals across four distinct disciplines in a ~1,500-person cybersecurity company.
What You'll Do:
Business Partnership & People Strategy:
- Serve as the primary People partner to functional leaders across Finance, Legal, Cybersecurity, and HR — developing a strong understanding of each team's goals, challenges, and talent needs
- Translate functional priorities into people plans that address org health, team effectiveness, and talent development
- Contribute to People team initiatives and collaborate closely with the CPO and People team peers on enterprise-wide programs
Organizational Design & Workforce Planning:
- Partner with functional leaders on org design questions — role clarity, team structure, and spans of control — as the business evolves
- Support workforce planning cycles across Corporate Functions, helping leaders think through headcount needs in partnership with Finance
- Assist with succession planning and identifying development paths for key roles across the four functions
Talent, Performance & Development:
- Facilitate the talent review and calibration process across Corporate Functions, helping leaders assess their teams and identify top talent and development needs
- Coach managers on performance management, feedback conversations, and building team cultures that bring out the best in specialized professionals
- Partner with L&D to connect employees in Corporate Functions with relevant development resources and programs
Employee Relations, Compliance & Risk:
- Handle employee relations matters across Corporate Functions with sound judgment and discretion, including navigating the added sensitivity of supporting HR and Legal team members
- Partner with People Operations and Legal to ensure HR practices remain compliant across all applicable jurisdictions
- Serve as a reliable, approachable resource for managers and employees on policy questions, workplace concerns, and HR guidance
Culture & Engagement:
- Monitor engagement and organizational health across Corporate Functions using people data and survey insights, surfacing trends and recommendations to functional leaders and the CPO
- Support leaders in building strong team cultures that reflect company values while honoring the professional norms of each discipline
What We're Looking For:
- 8+ years of progressive HR/People experience, with at least 3 years in a dedicated HRBP role supporting corporate or enterprise functions
- Experience supporting Finance, Legal, Technology, or HR teams — you understand the career paths, professional norms, and talent dynamics of specialized, expert-driven functions
- Comfortable operating as a trusted partner to senior leaders while also rolling up your sleeves to execute — this role requires both
- Solid foundation in employee relations, performance management, and HR compliance across multiple jurisdictions
- Working knowledge of org design principles, workforce planning, and talent review processes
- Ability to use people data and engagement insights to inform decisions and conversations with leaders
- Background in high-growth technology companies; cybersecurity, SaaS, or B2B enterprise software experience a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build credibility quickly with expert, specialized audiences
- Organized and able to manage priorities across multiple functions simultaneously without losing quality of partnership
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's in HR, Business, or a related field preferred
Why This Role:
This is an opportunity to do meaningful, varied People work alongside some of the most specialized professionals in the company — the teams that manage financial integrity, legal risk, cybersecurity, and the people function itself. You will have real influence on how these teams are built, developed, and supported, with a CPO who is invested in your growth and a company doing important work in an industry that matters.
Why work at Delinea?

- Global - We embrace diverse people and ideas to drive better outcomes
We believe weaving these core values into our day-to-day actions, and our process for hiring, evaluating, and promoting employees, helps us cultivate a work environment that embraces collaboration and camaraderie.
We take care of our employees. We offer competitive salaries, a meaningful bonus program, and excellent benefits, including healthcare insurance, as well as pension/retirement matching, comprehensive life insurance, an employee assistance program, time off plans, and paid company holidays.

Frame your HR credentials around specialty occupation
TN approval hinges on demonstrating your role requires a social science degree. Gather your transcripts, credential evaluations if your degree is Mexican or Canadian, and a role description that explicitly ties HR strategy to your field of study.
Target employers with dedicated HR business partner structures
Companies that separate HR generalists from strategic business partners are more likely to draft offer letters that satisfy TN's specialty occupation language. Mid-to-large enterprises in tech, healthcare, and financial services routinely hire People Business Partners at this level.
Negotiate an offer letter that names your degree field
The single most common TN denial for HR roles is a vague offer letter. Ask your prospective employer to specify that the position requires a bachelor's degree in human resources, psychology, or a related social science, not just a generic bachelor's degree.
Understand the cap difference before accepting a timeline
Canadian citizens can receive TN status at a port of entry the same day they present their documents. Mexican citizens must schedule a U.S. consular appointment, which adds weeks to the process. Factor that lead time into your start-date negotiation with the employer.
Use Migrate Mate to find employers already filing TN petitions
Searching for People Business Partner roles at employers experienced with visa sponsorship cuts your outreach time significantly. Migrate Mate surfaces employers with recent visa filings so you're not cold-pitching companies unfamiliar with sponsoring international talent.
Confirm your employer's willingness to write a support letter
Unlike H-1B, TN doesn't require government labor filings or lengthy agency review periods, but some employers still assume all work visa processes follow the same timeline. Clarify early that TN sponsorship means the employer provides a support letter and job offer — for Canadians, that's typically all that's needed to apply at the border, making it a far faster process than many hiring teams expect.

Find People Business Partner JobsPeople Business Partner TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a People Business Partner role qualify for TN visa status?
Yes, People Business Partner positions can qualify under the TN Social Science category when the role requires a bachelor's degree in human resources, organizational psychology, or a related social science field. The offer letter must make that degree requirement explicit. Roles focused purely on administrative HR tasks rather than strategic workforce advisory work are less likely to satisfy TN's specialty occupation standard.
How does TN visa sponsorship compare to H-1B for People Business Partner roles?
TN has no lottery, no annual cap for Canadians, and can be processed at the border in a single day for Canadian citizens. H-1B requires a lottery registration each March with only roughly a one-in-four selection chance. For People Business Partners with a qualifying social science degree, TN is a faster and more predictable path, provided the employer drafts a compliant offer letter.
Where can I find People Business Partner jobs that offer TN visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Canadian and Mexican professionals seeking TN-eligible roles. You can filter by job title and visa type to find employers with recent visa filings, which significantly reduces the time spent identifying companies experienced with work visa sponsorship. Generic job boards don't filter by employer sponsorship experience or visa category.
Can Mexican citizens get TN sponsorship for People Business Partner jobs the same way Canadians can?
The TN visa is available to both Canadian and Mexican citizens under USMCA, but the process differs. Canadians can receive TN status directly at a U.S. port of entry. Mexican citizens must apply at a U.S. consulate in Mexico, which requires scheduling an appointment and adds several weeks to the timeline. Both nationalities need a valid job offer before applying.
What documents does my employer need to provide for my TN application as a People Business Partner?
Your employer must provide a support letter on company letterhead that describes your role, confirms it requires a social science degree, states your anticipated length of employment, and lists your credentials. USCIS and CBP officers use this letter to evaluate specialty occupation status. A generic offer letter without degree field specifics is the leading cause of TN denials in HR-related roles. Migrate Mate can help you verify whether prospective employers have experience preparing compliant TN documentation.
