Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as a Real World Evidence
Align your credentials to TN-eligible categories
RWE roles typically clear TN status under Scientist, Economist, or Statistician categories. Confirm your degree field matches the category your offer letter names before applying, since a credential mismatch is the most common reason TN entries are delayed at the border.
Request a support letter covering specialty occupation
Ask your hiring manager to document why the role requires graduate-level training in epidemiology, biostatistics, or health economics. Clear explanation of the role's specialized requirements in the employer support letter strengthens your TN entry and reduces officer questioning at the port of entry.
Target life sciences employers with established TN workflows
Pharmaceutical companies, contract research organizations, and health technology firms regularly sponsor TN professionals for RWE roles. Employers with recent visa filings for international staff understand sponsorship requirements and move faster from offer to start date.
Search for TN-sponsoring RWE roles through Migrate Mate
Filter by TN visa and RWE-related titles on Migrate Mate to surface employers actively hiring across epidemiology, outcomes research, and health economics. This cuts the time you'd otherwise spend screening postings from employers unfamiliar with TN sponsorship.
Negotiate your start date around TN processing realities
Canadians can enter at a port of entry the same day with approved documents, while Mexican nationals require a consular appointment that currently runs several weeks out. Build this into your offer discussion so your employer sets a realistic onboarding date.
Prepare for RFEs tied to atypical degree pathways
If your RWE background comes from a public health or pharmacy degree rather than a direct statistics or economics program, document your coursework and any graduate-level quantitative training. USCIS scrutinizes non-standard credential paths more closely in analyst and scientist filings.

Find Real World Evidence JobsReal World Evidence TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Real World Evidence role qualify for TN visa status?
Yes, provided the role is classified under a qualifying USMCA occupation. Most RWE positions map to the Scientist, Statistician, or Economist TN categories depending on the core duties. The job offer letter must clearly describe responsibilities that require a relevant graduate-level degree, not just familiarity with data tools or software.
How does the TN visa compare to H-1B for RWE professionals?
TN has no lottery, no annual cap for Canadians, and no waiting period tied to a fiscal year. H-1B selection is random and competitive, meaning a qualified RWE candidate may wait years or never be selected. TN approval for Canadians can happen at the port of entry on the same day the offer is accepted, making it significantly faster for those who qualify under USMCA.
Where can I find Real World Evidence jobs that offer TN visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Canadian and Mexican professionals seeking roles with TN visa sponsorship. You can filter by visa type and role category to find RWE positions at employers who already understand the TN process, rather than spending time educating hiring teams unfamiliar with USMCA-based work authorization.
Can Mexican nationals use the TN visa for Real World Evidence roles the same way Canadians can?
Mexican nationals qualify for TN status under the same USMCA occupational categories, but the process differs. Mexicans must apply at a U.S. consulate in Mexico rather than at the port of entry, and current appointment availability adds several weeks to the timeline. There is also a 5,500 annual allocation for Mexican TN visas, though this cap has not historically been reached.
What happens if my RWE job title does not exactly match a TN occupation category?
The TN category is determined by job duties and required qualifications, not the title alone. A role called Senior RWE Analyst that requires a master's degree in biostatistics and involves study design and data modeling can still qualify under the Statistician or Scientist category. Your employer's support letter should describe duties in terms that align with the USMCA occupation definition, not just the internal job title.
