Which medical devices companies in California sponsor H-1B1 Singapore visas?
California-based medical devices companies with documented H-1B1 Singapore Labor Condition Application filings include Intuitive Surgical, Abbott, Stryker, Edwards Lifesciences, Boston Scientific, and Becton Dickinson. Smaller contract manufacturers and diagnostics firms in the San Diego and Bay Area corridors also file H-1B1 LCAs, particularly for biomedical engineering and quality systems roles. Filing history varies by year and business need, so verifying current LCA activity through OFLC records is advisable.
Which California cities have the most medical devices H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs?
San Diego leads in medical devices H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship volume, anchored by the Biocom cluster around Sorrento Valley and Carlsbad. The Bay Area follows closely, with concentrations in Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, and Fremont serving device manufacturers and combination product companies. Los Angeles, Irvine, and the greater Orange County area also host significant medical devices operations, particularly in orthopedics, diagnostics, and interventional cardiology.
What types of medical devices roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship?
Roles that commonly qualify require at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related specialty field. In medical devices, this includes biomedical engineers, electrical and mechanical engineers, regulatory affairs specialists, clinical research associates, quality engineers, and software engineers developing device software. Roles classified under relevant Standard Occupational Classification codes with degree-level entry requirements generally meet the H-1B1 visa specialty occupation standard. O*NET occupational profiles can help confirm degree requirements for a specific title.
How do I find medical devices H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs in California?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search: you can filter jobs by visa type, state, and industry to surface California medical devices roles where employers have verified H-1B1 Singapore LCA filing history. This removes the guesswork of approaching companies that have never sponsored the visa. Beyond Migrate Mate, reviewing OFLC LCA disclosure data by employer name and California worksite can help you identify active sponsors in device manufacturing, regulatory, and clinical functions.
Are there California-specific or industry-specific factors that affect H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship in medical devices?
California requires employers to post LCA notices at the worksite, which is standard but enforced strictly given the state's active labor enforcement environment. In medical devices, FDA-regulated roles often require specific degree fields and demonstrated technical expertise, which supports the specialty occupation determination but also means employers assess fit carefully before filing. Companies operating under FDA Quality System Regulation frameworks, common across California device manufacturers, tend to have established immigration programs familiar with H-1B1 visa processing for Singaporean nationals.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Singapore medical devices jobs in California?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
