Our Evansville, IN, location is part of our Coatings division, and creates various breading, batter, and coating blends for Kerry brands and customers. Compensation Data

The pay range for this position is $20-$35 per hour. Kerry typically does not hire an individual at the top or near the top of the range, as we are a pay-for-performance company, and this range is set to continue to reward performance annually while in role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate within the above range may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity. The Trainer and Onboarding Specialist is a non-exempt Operations role responsible for the delivery, coordination, and documentation of onboarding and training activities in accordance with site policies, approved training plans, and management direction. This role does not assign work, direct labor, or make staffing decisions, but executes onboarding and training activities based on established schedules and standard work. The Trainer and Onboarding Specialist partners with the Labor Coordinator, supervisors, and HR to ensure employees are trained, qualified, and documented prior to performing assigned work.

Key Responsibilities

Onboarding & Orientation Execution:

- Deliver new hire orientation and onboarding activities in accordance with approved site schedules and materials.
- Provide onboarding materials (PPE, badges, lockers, site information) following established site processes.
- Communicate company policies, safety expectations, attendance guidelines, and work standards using approved content.
- Coordinate onboarding timing as scheduled by Operations and the Labor Coordinator.

Training Delivery & Qualification Support:

- Deliver classroom, hands-on, and on-the-job training using approved training materials and standard work instructions.
- Observe job task performance to confirm completion of training requirements.
- Document training completion and qualification status; does not independently authorize job placement or work assignment.
- Escalate training gaps, skill concerns, or readiness issues to supervisors, the Labor Coordinator, or HR for review.
- Create, Document, Deliver and Validate training materials for Procedures, Processes and Standards; including, but not limited to SWOPs, SWESs, Centerlines and CILTs.

Training Records & Skill Matrix Administration:

- Maintain accurate training records, certifications, and qualification documentation in designated systems.
- Update the training matrix and skill matrix based on completed training and documented outcomes.
- Provide training and certification status reports to Operations, Labor Coordinator, and HR as requested.

Compliance & Required Training:

- Facilitate required safety, quality, and compliance training as scheduled.
- Use approved materials and ensure attendance and completion are accurately recorded.
- Refer policy interpretation, disciplinary considerations, or corrective action decisions to HR or Operations leadership.

Cross Coverage & Continuity Support:

- Provide backup administrative and coordination support for Labor Coordinator activities when requested or during planned absences.
- Backup support may include documentation assistance, schedule communication, or coordination activities without assuming primary labor authority.
- Ensure continuity of onboarding and training processes during coverage periods.
- Able to work non-standard hours as required.

What You'll Need To Succeed

- High School Diploma/GED Required.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office (Teams, PowerPoint, Excel); OneNote and Visio would be a plus.
- Ability to communicate to groups in a professional demeanor.
- Previous experience with ERP systems is preferred; SAP is a plus.
- Ability to understand everyone learns differently and be able to communicate effectively so that others understand.
- Flexibility as this person will at times need to be able to cover over for trainings on 2nd or 3rd shift.
- Be able to work 40 to 45 hours weekly.
