Tips for Finding E-3 Sponsorship Jobs in Indiana
Focus on Indiana's life sciences cluster
Indianapolis anchors one of the Midwest's strongest biopharma and medical device ecosystems. Companies like Eli Lilly and Cook Medical have long histories of sponsoring specialty occupation roles, making this sector a high-priority target for E-3 applicants.
Target advanced manufacturing employers in secondary cities
Fort Wayne, South Bend, and Columbus have dense concentrations of advanced manufacturers needing engineers and technical specialists. These mid-sized markets often face qualified candidate shortages, which makes employers more open to sponsoring E-3 visas.
Use DOL disclosure data to verify sponsorship history
Search the Department of Labor's OFLC disclosure database to confirm which Indiana employers have filed Labor Condition Applications. Filtering by state and visa type surfaces employers already familiar with the E-3 process, reducing friction in your outreach.
Browse E-3 specific job boards before applying broadly
Generic job boards don't filter by visa sponsorship type. Migrate Mate lets you search specifically for E-3 sponsorship opportunities in Indiana, saving time you'd otherwise spend cold-filtering postings that may never lead to a sponsored role.
Engage Indiana's healthcare hiring cycles early
Hospitals and health systems across Indianapolis, Bloomington, and Evansville recruit for clinical and health informatics roles on predictable annual cycles. Applying three to six months before a target start date gives employers time to process LCA and visa paperwork.
Position your application around specialty occupation clarity
Indiana employers outside major metros may be less familiar with E-3 requirements. Address the specialty occupation standard directly in your cover letter by linking your specific degree to the technical requirements of the posted role, reducing employer hesitation.

What is the prevailing wage for E-3 jobs in Indiana?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
