Job Description
Days and Shift Information
- Full-time, Monday through Friday. Typical business hours with occasional flexibility required to meet client and carrier needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, optimize, route, and schedule shipments across all transportation modes using the Transportation Management System (TMS).
- Consolidate client orders into efficient load plans and assign appropriate carriers to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
- Serve as the primary daily contact for assigned client(s), resolving shipping issues, responding to inquiries, and ensuring on-time pick-up and delivery.
- Negotiate carrier rates for non-contracted lanes (spot quoting) and make financially sound decisions on behalf of the client.
- Monitor carrier performance, documentation, and invoicing; recommend corrective actions to resolve service or performance concerns.
Work Environment
- Office-based role with a high degree of collaboration across teams and with external carriers and clients. Fast-paced, deadline-driven environment requiring multitasking and proactive communication.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain.
- At least 1 year in a customer service or transportation planning role.
- Proficiency with Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Pay / Benefits / Perks
- Pay rate: $60,000
- Paid Time Off: Accrue up to five days of PTO in the first year; two weeks of vacation plus one week of PTO accrued upon first anniversary.
