Which accounting companies sponsor H-1B1 Singapore visas in Massachusetts?
The Big Four accounting firms, Deloitte, PwC, EY, and KPMG, maintain significant Massachusetts offices and have filed Labor Condition Applications for accounting roles in the state. Regional firms such as Grant Thornton and BDO also operate in the Boston market. Beyond public accounting, large financial services firms, hospital networks like Mass General Brigham, and universities with in-house finance teams have sponsored accounting professionals on H-1B1 Singapore status.
Which cities in Massachusetts have the most accounting H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs?
Boston accounts for the highest concentration of accounting H-1B1 visa Singapore sponsorship activity in Massachusetts, anchored by its financial district and the Seaport innovation corridor. Cambridge draws demand from biotech and university finance functions. Waltham and Newton along Route 128 host corporate headquarters with internal accounting teams. Worcester is a secondary market, primarily through healthcare systems and regional financial services firms with compliance and reporting needs.
What types of accounting roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship?
H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship applies to specialty occupation roles requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. In accounting, qualifying positions typically include financial reporting analysts, external and internal audit associates, tax compliance specialists, forensic accountants, and management accountants. Roles requiring CPA credentials or advanced degrees in accounting or finance are well-suited, as USCIS expects a direct relationship between the degree field and the job duties.
How do I find accounting H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts?
Migrate Mate lets you filter specifically for accounting roles with H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship history in Massachusetts, drawing on DOL Labor Condition Application data to surface employers that have sponsored this visa category. That filing history gives you a verifiable signal of sponsorship willingness before you apply. You can narrow results by city, firm type, or accounting discipline to focus your search on employers already familiar with the H-1B1 Singapore process.
Are there any Massachusetts-specific considerations for H-1B1 Singapore accounting sponsorship?
Massachusetts does not impose state-level visa sponsorship requirements beyond federal obligations, but employers must comply with the DOL prevailing wage requirement, which in the Boston metro tends to reflect a competitive market rate for accounting professionals. Firms operating in regulated sectors, banking, insurance, and healthcare, may require additional licensing such as a CPA or CMA, which can affect how the specialty occupation requirement is documented in the Labor Condition Application.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Singapore accounting jobs in Massachusetts?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
