Which aerospace and defense companies sponsor H-1B1 Singapore visas in Texas?
Texas-based aerospace and defense employers with documented H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship history include Lockheed Martin in Fort Worth, Raytheon Technologies and L3Harris in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Bell Flight in Hurst, and Boeing in San Antonio. NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston also employs workers under specialty occupation visa categories. Sponsorship availability varies by role, business need, and headcount at any given facility.
Which cities in Texas have the most aerospace and defense H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs?
The Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex concentrates the highest number of aerospace and defense roles in Texas, driven by major defense contractors headquartered or operating there. San Antonio is a significant hub for military aviation and maintenance work, particularly around Joint Base San Antonio. Houston supports aerospace employment through NASA Johnson Space Center and commercial space companies. Austin has growing defense technology and systems engineering presence.
What types of aerospace and defense roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship?
Roles that commonly qualify under the H-1B1 visa Singapore specialty occupation standard include aerospace engineers, systems engineers, avionics engineers, software engineers supporting defense platforms, structural analysts, propulsion specialists, and program managers with relevant engineering degrees. The position must require at minimum a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. Roles where any general degree suffices, such as generalist program coordination, are less likely to meet the specialty occupation threshold.
How do I find aerospace and defense H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa type and industry, making it straightforward to search for aerospace and defense roles in Texas that include H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship. You can narrow results by city, role type, and employer to focus on positions where sponsorship is confirmed or documented. This is more efficient than searching general job boards where sponsorship status is rarely specified upfront.
Are there state-specific or industry-specific considerations for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship in Texas aerospace and defense?
Many Texas aerospace and defense employers hold U.S. Department of Defense contracts, which can introduce security clearance requirements that complicate or restrict sponsorship for non-U.S. persons, including Singaporean nationals on H-1B1 status. Roles requiring access to classified information or export-controlled technology under ITAR may be restricted. Candidates should clarify clearance requirements with employers before applying, as not all positions at defense contractors carry these restrictions.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Singapore aerospace & defense jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
