Which medical devices companies in Texas sponsor H-1B1 Singapore visas?
Several large medical devices manufacturers with a Texas presence have filed Labor Condition Applications for H-1B1 visa Singapore workers, including Medtronic, Abbott, Becton Dickinson, and Stryker. Smaller medtech firms in the Dallas-Fort Worth and Austin corridors also sponsor H-1B1 Singapore workers, particularly for engineering and regulatory roles. Checking DOL Labor Condition Application disclosure data lets you verify which specific employers have active filing history.
Which Texas cities have the most medical devices H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs?
Dallas-Fort Worth is the primary hub, anchored by corporate offices and manufacturing plants from major device companies. Austin has seen growing medtech activity tied to its broader life sciences expansion. Houston offers opportunities in medical imaging and diagnostics, supported by its large healthcare infrastructure. San Antonio also hosts device companies serving the South Texas medical corridor, particularly in surgical and wound care segments.
What types of medical devices roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship?
H-1B1 Singapore requires a specialty occupation, meaning the role must typically require at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. In medical devices, qualifying roles commonly include biomedical engineer, regulatory affairs specialist, quality assurance engineer, clinical applications specialist, and software engineer working on device software. General technician or sales roles without a specific degree requirement are less likely to qualify under USCIS specialty occupation standards.
How do I find medical devices H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search, letting you filter medical devices jobs in Texas by H-1B1 Singapore visa sponsorship based on verified DOL Labor Condition Application filing history. This means every employer shown has documented sponsorship activity for this visa type, not just a generic 'visa sponsorship available' checkbox. You can narrow results by city, role type, and company size to match your background in biomedical engineering, regulatory affairs, or clinical applications.
Are there any Texas-specific or industry-specific considerations for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship in medical devices?
Texas has no state income tax, which affects total compensation comparisons, but the key consideration for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship is the DOL prevailing wage requirement. Employers must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role and location, verifiable through the OFLC Wage Search. Medical devices roles in Texas are also subject to FDA regulatory requirements, meaning employers often prefer candidates with relevant device-specific credentials, which can strengthen the specialty occupation case under USCIS standards.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Singapore medical devices jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
