Which accounting companies sponsor H-1B1 Singapore visas in Virginia?
Virginia's largest H-1B1 visa Singapore accounting sponsors are concentrated in the federal contracting and professional services sectors. Big Four firms, Deloitte, PwC, KPMG, and EY, maintain significant Virginia offices, as do regional advisory firms and large financial institutions. Government contractors headquartered in Northern Virginia, such as Booz Allen Hamilton and Leidos, also file Labor Condition Applications for accounting and finance roles requiring specialty occupation credentials.
Which cities in Virginia have the most accounting H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs?
Northern Virginia dominates, with McLean, Tysons Corner, Arlington, and Reston accounting for the majority of H-1B1 Singapore LCA filings in the accounting sector. These cities cluster around federal agencies and the D.C. metro corridor, creating dense demand for auditors, tax professionals, and financial analysts. Richmond also supports a smaller but active market, particularly in banking, insurance, and state government-adjacent accounting roles.
What types of accounting roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship?
H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship applies to specialty occupations requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. In accounting, qualifying roles typically include external and internal auditors, tax analysts, forensic accountants, financial reporting specialists, and management accountants. General bookkeeping or clerical accounts-payable positions do not meet the specialty occupation standard. Employers confirm the degree requirement through the Labor Condition Application filed with DOL before sponsoring a candidate.
How do I find accounting H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs in Virginia?
Migrate Mate filters accounting jobs specifically by H-1B1 Singapore visa sponsorship, showing Virginia employers with verified LCA filing history for accounting and auditing roles. This lets you avoid applying to firms that have never filed for H-1B1 Singapore candidates. You can narrow results further by city within Virginia, so you can focus on Northern Virginia's federal contracting hubs or Richmond's financial services market depending on your preference.
Are there any Virginia-specific or industry-specific considerations for H-1B1 Singapore accounting sponsorship?
Virginia's high concentration of federal contractors adds a layer of consideration: some contracting firms require security clearances that complicate sponsorship timelines for foreign nationals, including H-1B visa1 Singapore holders. Additionally, because the H-1B1 is a non-dual-intent visa, employers in Virginia's competitive professional services market may have compliance teams less familiar with it than with the standard H-1B, making it worth confirming that a prospective employer has prior H-1B1 Singapore LCA filings before applying.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Singapore accounting jobs in Virginia?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
