Which transportation companies in Washington sponsor H-1B1 Chile visas?
Washington employers with documented H-1B1 Chile sponsorship activity in transportation include Amazon's logistics and operations divisions, Boeing's supply chain and engineering units, and freight and port-related firms operating through the Port of Seattle and Port of Tacoma. Regional trucking, air cargo, and intermodal logistics companies have also filed Labor Condition Applications for specialty occupation transportation roles. Sponsorship patterns vary by company size and role type.
Which cities in Washington have the most transportation H-1B1 Chile sponsorship jobs?
Seattle and Tacoma concentrate the largest share of transportation H-1B1 visa Chile sponsorship opportunities in Washington, driven by Sea-Tac International Airport, the Port of Seattle, and the Port of Tacoma, one of the largest container ports on the West Coast. Bellevue and Redmond also have activity through tech-adjacent logistics operations. Spokane has a smaller but present freight and distribution employer base.
What types of transportation roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Chile sponsorship?
H-1B1 Chile sponsorship applies to specialty occupation roles requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. In transportation, qualifying positions commonly include transportation engineers, logistics analysts, supply chain specialists, operations research analysts, and aviation systems engineers. General roles such as truck drivers or warehouse workers do not qualify, as they do not meet the specialty occupation standard USCIS applies to H-1B1 petitions.
How do I find transportation H-1B1 Chile sponsorship jobs in Washington?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search, you can filter by visa type, including H-1B1 Chile, and by industry and state to surface Washington transportation employers with verified sponsorship history. This saves time compared to manually cross-referencing job postings with OFLC Labor Condition Application filings. Migrate Mate draws on DOL disclosure data so you can see which employers have actually sponsored H-1B1 Chile workers, not just which ones say they're open to sponsorship.
Are there Washington-specific considerations for H-1B1 Chile transportation sponsorship?
Washington has no state-level visa sponsorship requirements, but its transportation sector has characteristics that affect sponsorship patterns. The state's heavy reliance on port and intermodal freight means many specialty roles are tied to operations at the Port of Seattle or Port of Tacoma, where employers tend to be larger and more familiar with LCA filings. Washington also has active aerospace and e-commerce logistics employers, which broadens the range of qualifying transportation-adjacent roles available to Chilean nationals.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Chile transportation jobs in Washington?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
