Entry Level AI Consultant / Strategist Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level ai consultant / strategist job?
Employers hiring at the entry level look for candidates who can demonstrate hands-on AI knowledge through projects, coursework, or internships rather than years on the job. A portfolio showing applied work with machine learning tools, data analysis, or AI strategy frameworks gives you a concrete edge. Certifications from recognized AI or data programs, plus strong communication skills for client-facing work, round out what these roles typically expect from first-time candidates.
Which companies hire entry level ai consultant / strategists?

Are there remote entry level ai consultant / strategist jobs?
Yes, though availability varies by employer and project type. About 29% of entry level ai consultant / strategist openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting demand for flexible work in this field. Many consulting roles at this level still favor on-site or hybrid arrangements, especially when client collaboration is a core part of the work.
Are these new grad ai consultant / strategist jobs?
Yes, these include new grad, recent graduate, and junior ai consultant / strategist roles. A posting is new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, counts internships or academic projects toward that requirement, or explicitly invites candidates with a portfolio in lieu of a long work history. If the listing mentions training programs or mentorship, that is another strong signal it is open to candidates entering the field for the first time.
Which industries hire the most entry level ai consultant / strategists?
