MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
Assists in the development and implementation of AI and Machine Learning models.
Performs tasks related to data collection, preprocessing, and data management.
Supports the training, validation, and evaluation of machine learning algorithms.
Contributes to the design and testing of analytical workflows and computational pipelines.
Assists research staff with literature reviews and scientific manuscript preparation.
Documents experimental procedures, results, and progress reports.
Participates in team meetings and present updates on assigned work.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Programming skills (preferably in Python).
Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., Pandas, NumPy) is an asset.
Interest in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or data-driven research.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Currently enrolled in or recently completed a program in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field required.
Completed at least one project in AI and machine learning required.
Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) certification within 30 days of transfer or hire required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn) preferred.
Exposure to data visualization or statistical analysis preferred.
Prior research or project experience in AI/M preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS, EQUIPMENT USAGE, WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Position is relatively sedentary in a normal office administrative environment involving minimum exposure to physical risks. Will use office equipment such as a computer/laptop, monitor, keyboard, and a general workstation set-up.
