AI Solution Architect Jobs in Tennessee: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a ai solution architect in Tennessee?
There is no state-issued license specific to ai solution architects in Tennessee, so the path runs through education and credentials recognized by employers. Most Tennessee hiring managers expect at least a bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, or engineering, plus hands-on architecture experience. Cloud provider certifications from AWS, Microsoft, or Google carry significant weight, and Tennessee's large healthcare and logistics employers increasingly value additional credentials in enterprise AI governance and security.
Which companies hire ai solution architects in Tennessee?
Employers hiring ai solution architects in Tennessee right now include Conexess and Dollar General, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Tennessee's combination of major healthcare systems, logistics companies, and a growing fintech corridor in Nashville gives ai solution architects a notably broad set of industry sectors to target.
Which Tennessee cities have the most ai solution architect jobs?
Spring Hill and Goodlettsville are the Tennessee cities with the most ai solution architect openings. Nashville leads because of its dense concentration of healthcare IT firms, corporate headquarters, and fintech employers, while Memphis benefits from the major logistics and supply chain operations anchored there, and Knoxville draws openings from research-linked technology firms and the University of Tennessee ecosystem.
Are there remote ai solution architect jobs in Tennessee?
Yes, and more than most fields, since ai solution architect work is fundamentally design-oriented and does not require physical presence on a manufacturing floor or clinical setting. About 0% of ai solution architect openings tied to Tennessee are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting the broader technology sector's flexibility. The portions of the role involving stakeholder workshops and enterprise discovery sessions are most likely to require occasional in-person attendance.
How can I get hired as a ai solution architect in Tennessee with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving laterally from a cloud engineer, data engineer, or software developer role, which Tennessee employers consistently treat as a direct pipeline into solution architecture. Employers such as HCA Healthcare and FedEx run internal development programs that promote strong individual contributors into architecture tracks. Building a portfolio of documented design decisions, earning an associate-level cloud certification, and targeting titles like junior cloud architect or AI engineer at mid-size Nashville or Knoxville technology firms provides a concrete on-ramp.
