Job Summary
Responsible for daily operation and maintenance of the washroom facility. This position does not interact with animals.
Responsibilities
- Clean and disinfect animal cages and equipment
- Operate washroom equipment, including rack, tunnel and cabinet washers; autoclaves, disposals units, bedding dispensers and portable washers
- Basic record keeping in logbooks
- Work with cleaning and disinfecting chemicals
- Sanitize washroom and storage areas
Minimum Qualifications
EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT: 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor’s degree = 4 years of directly related work experience).
Animal Care Technician, I: Requires little to no related experience.
