Position Details
Role: Veterinary Technician
Status: Full-time
Salary: Negotiable and based on experience
Schedule: 35–38 hours per week: 4-day work week & every other Saturday (8:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.)

Animal and Bird Medical Center in Palm Harbor is searching for an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our compassionate, collaborative team. If you love variety in your day and want the opportunity to work hands-on with everything from dogs and cats to birds, reptiles, rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, and other exotic pets, this may be the perfect fit for you.

What You’ll Do
- Assist veterinarians with patient exams, treatments, and procedures
- Obtain patient histories and collect diagnostic samples
- Prepare laboratory samples and assist with in-house testing
- Fill prescriptions and educate clients on medications and treatment plans
- Perform radiographs and support diagnostic procedures
- Place IV catheters and prepare patients for surgery
- Monitor anesthesia and surgical patients
- Perform dental cleanings and patient care procedures
- Answer phones and assist with appointment scheduling as needed
- Provide daily husbandry and nursing care for hospitalized patients
