Responsibilities:
- Assures all monies received are balanced to receipts from the bank reconciling to the General Ledger.
- Prepares checks, receipts and remittance advice, both manual and electronic, batching for the automated posting system, starting the process of posting to the Patient Account systems.
- Works with Sr. Control Analyst for multitude of cash receipts processed through Patient Financial Services.
- Assists in providing direction to ensure all payments on patient accounts flow accurately and timely between all Norton facilities as well as other entities: i.e., MD Financial, Facilities Point of Service, Denial Management, and ensuring reconciliation to A/R posting in cash general ledger.
- Assists in preparation of financial reports to Norton Healthcare and Patient Financial Services leadership, under the direction of Sr. Control Analyst.
- Performs duties as may be requested by management.
- By performing these functions, ensures established goals and other metrics assigned by Senior Leadership are met or exceeded with integrity in a positive manner.
This role offers a work from home option. Initial training will take place at a Norton Healthcare facility, and you must be available to come onsite for business needs as required. Employees in this position must reside in Kentucky or Indiana.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required: One year in a healthcare facility based central business office (CBO).
Desired: Three years in a central business office environment, with bookkeeping and accounting.
