Entry Level Bim Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level bim manager job?
Employers at this level prioritize demonstrated BIM software skills, particularly in Revit, Navisworks, or AutoCAD, over years of experience. A portfolio showing real project models, clash detection work, or academic capstone projects gives you a concrete edge. Internship or co-op experience with a construction or engineering firm is highly valued, and a degree in architecture, civil engineering, or construction management is the most common entry point.
Which companies hire entry level bim managers?
Companies hiring entry level bim managers right now include Amazon, PayneCrest Electric, and TSMC, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. A mix of general contractors, engineering consultancies, architecture firms, and large infrastructure owners tend to post at this level, since they can develop junior talent in-house.
Are there remote entry level bim manager jobs?
Yes, though most entry level bim manager roles lean toward on-site or hybrid to allow for hands-on collaboration. About 20% of entry level bim manager openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, so candidates who need flexibility should filter specifically for those work settings when searching current listings.
Are these new grad bim manager jobs?
Yes, these listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior bim manager roles. A posting is new grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, accepts internship or co-op work in place of full-time history, or specifically calls out a portfolio as a substitute for a long resume. If a listing mentions entry level, junior, or associate in the title or description, it is typically open to new grads.
Which industries hire the most entry level bim managers?
Entry Level bim manager roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Retail, and E-Commerce & Online Marketplaces, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive hiring at this level because ongoing construction, infrastructure, and facilities projects require BIM coordination from the ground up, creating consistent demand for candidates who can grow into the role.
