INTRODUCTION
Mazak Corporation is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join the manufacturing team. The Maintenance Technician will maintain and repair CNC machines at Mazak Corporation’s Headquarters in Florence, KY.
SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Proactively attains a safe and healthy work environment for all employees
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and software problems on machines and accessories
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks
- Test operation of machines and accessories
- Complete reports documenting installation, assessment of reported problem, repairs completed, and parts installed
- Utilize various test equipment for trouble shooting purpose, indicators, test bars, clamp force, gages, etc.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- 2 yr. Manufacturing degree or Vocational School is preferred
SKILLS
- Strong electrical background
- Proven mechanical aptitude with Mechanical Aptitude test
- Previous experience with troubleshooting and repairing CNC machines
- Experience with machine alignments and levelling
- Experience with test equipment including electrical meters
- Ability to work in high pressure situations
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a repetitive daily basis.
- Heavier lifting in excess of 50lbs on periodic basis
- Ability to problem solve depending on situation.
