Location: UCHealth UCHth Parkview Medical Center, US:CO:Pueblo
Department: Cath Lab
Work Schedule: Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
Shift: Days/Four 10 hour shifts
Pay: $36.19 - $54.28 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience
This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option
Relocation may apply for qualified candidates.
Summary:
Performs imaging and interventional procedures to diagnose and treat cardiovascular conditions in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and within the policies, values, and mission of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares patients for procedures by reviewing medical history, draping and positioning the patient, preparing procedural/testing sites and administering contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
- Assists physician with performing diagnostic and therapeutic interventional procedures, including cardiac catheterizations. Performs imaging procedures including echocardiography and fluoroscopy. Analyzes results and takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues.
- Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.
- Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.
- Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
Requirements:
- Registered Radiologic Technologist
- Reg Cardiovascular Invasive Spec.
- Reg Cardiac Electrophysiology
- High School diploma or GED. Preferred: Associate's degree in health related field. Graduate of an accredited radiography technology program.
- Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or ARRT licensure or certification. Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider and any relevant life support certification as determined at position level.
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
